Wrung Out

Empty.

Emptied of your emptiness.

Now full of my fullness.

To the last drop.

Wrung out.

Emptied of stress, of strain. At the point where you have nothing left to give.

At the end of yourself. At the moment where you have given your all. At the end of your giving.

The beginning of fullness.

And there you shall see it.

And there it shall be for you.

The outpouring that came from the place where there was only emptiness.

From the hollow place it comes.

From the place of nothing left shall come my fullness. From the nothing shall come the something.

From the one trunk comes the many branches. Yet from the one stork comes the many symmetrical storks, the stork of the seed. For from the one seed comes the many seeds. The seed of elevation. The seed of the air. The seed of the rising. The seed that responds to the flow of the air. The expansion of the the one that came from the ground to the many that floats on the air.

From that which was, shall come that which is. A fresh outpouring.

For you shall be full of my fullness.

For you shall be full of that which cannot be emptied. For now that you have emptied yourself. You now have capacity to absorb my fullness. For you shall be full of my fullness.

For when pressed upon, for when you are under pressure, what shall fall from that which is empty?

Breaking open the hollow place.

Releasing my abundance from that which is empty to that which is barren.

For from whence does the stream come in the dry and barren place?

It is an overflow of my fullness.

It is a fountain of my goodness in the barren place.

It is the birthing of abundance.

It is the breaking of the waters in the barren place.

For your waters have broken.

Streams of water flowing in the dry place.

Streams of water in the desert place.

The release of all that I have conceived.

The birthing of all that is to come is now released upon the desolate place, upon the barren place, upon the empty place.

For the flow shall bring forth life in the barren place. The flow shall release that which is birthed.

For the desert shall bloom.

Why so surprised that now you are wrung out, now you are empty, now you have given all, now you have no strength for more, that the desert is in bloom?

For you shall bring my fullness to that which is empty.

For you shall be full of my fullness.

Judges 15:18-19
Samson was very thirsty, and he prayed to the Lord and said, You have given this great deliverance by the hand of Your servant, and now shall I die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?
And God split open the hollow place that was at Lehi, and water came out of it. And when he drank, his spirit returned and he revived. Therefore the name of it was called En-hakkore [the spring of him who prayed], which is at Lehi to this day.

For you expect nothing from the hollow place. But you shall receive my fullness from the empty place. From your place of weariness shall come the place of refreshment, of fullness, of restored strength, of manifest power, of overflow in the empty place, of revival.

Isaiah 43:19
Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

From dehydration, from the thirsty place, from the place of lack, to the place of the streams, the refreshing streams.

Isaiah 41:17-20
The poor and needy are seeking water when there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. I the Lord will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.
I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia, the myrtle, and the wild olive; I will set the cypress in the desert, the plane [tree] and the pine [tree] together,
That men may see and know and consider and understand together that the hand of the Lord has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
