Wrung Out

You pause and wonder how it is that you feel so wrung out…

It is just me smoothing the path.

The wrinkles, removed….

The fullness dispersed.

The fullness within, impacting without.

That which is within, banishing that which is without.

The without, now experiencing the fullness within.

Those that are without, being possessed by those that have my fullness within.

For you are my carriers of fullness, you are my deliverers of fullness, my suppliers of the flow.

For this land shall flow.

For I am making the empty places full.

I am leveling up, I am pouring out my fullness.

For you shall be my watering system, my irrigation system, my instrument of fullness, underground but inhabiting the ground, possessing the ground.

The ground plowed by your enemy shall be irrigated by you, and I shall cause this ground to be fertile.

For the seed sown shall multiply, shall spread far and wide, shall be seen by all those who pass by.

For the word has gone out.

At the trumpet blast, victory has been declared, the enemy has fallen.

I’ll leave you to pick up the pieces.

“I was blind until you showed me my victory”

“This is what freedom feels like”

For their instruments of warfare lie broken before your feet, strewn across the countryside.

Is this not the plunder I have spoken to you before?

You wonder how you will fund all that I have in store for you?

Yet is this not from my storehouse? Is this not plunder for my storehouse? Is it not appropo, is this not appropriate that I should supply you from the enemies storehouse?

All those things they attacked you with, you shall now possess…

  1. The battering ram by with you were battered

  2. The javelin by which you were wounded

  3. The sword by which you were stabbed

  4. The whip by which you were flogged

  5. The chest where they stored your possessions

  6. The weapons of mass destruction by which they sought to take you out.

Yet they were doomed from the start.

Was this not foretold?

Jeremiah 1:4-12 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Before I formed you in the womb I knew and approved of you as My chosen instrument, and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; and I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. Then said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am only a youth. But the Lord said to me, Say not, I am only a youth; for you shall go to all to whom I shall send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Be not afraid of them their faces, for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord. Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me, Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have this day appointed you to the oversight of the nations and of the kingdoms to root out and pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant. Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Jeremiah, what do you see? And I said, I see a branch or shoot of an almond tree the emblem of alertness and activity, blossoming in late winter. Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.

Why so surprised all this has happened?

Why so worried about how you will perform, what others will think of your performance, how your performance will be graded or accessed?

Am I not responsible for this performance? Will I not be up to your expectations?

If I have supplied the harvest will I not supply also the harvesters?

You have placed yourself in the wringer, you have been wringing your hands trying to figure it all out and yet on the day that you felt so weak you could hardly get out of bed, did you not look back in a daze marvelling at what had been accomplished.

Will you not be like the farmer, who sows the seed in the fertile soil and then rests from all his work? Does my seed not grow whilst you rest? Is it within your capacity to make something grow?

What then Lord do you seek from me?

To see it how, I see it. To open your eyes once again to my revelation, for my word has gone out.

Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me, Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have this day appointed you to the oversight of the nations and of the kingdoms to root out and pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.

Take up your position, receive your appointment and leave me to handle the performance.. for it shall be a great spectacle, a great festival, a great celebration for my glory.

2 Chronicles 20:17 You shall not need to fight in this battle; take your positions, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord Who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Fear not nor be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you. 2 Chronicles 20:25-30 When Jehoshaphat and his people came to take the spoil, they found among them much cattle, goods, garments, and precious things which they took for themselves, more than they could carry away, so much they were three days in gathering the spoil. On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Beracah. There they blessed the Lord. So the name of the place is still called the Valley of Beracah blessing. Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, Jehoshaphat leading them, to Jerusalem with joy, for the Lord had made them to rejoice over their enemies. They came to Jerusalem with harps, lyres, and trumpets to the house of the Lord. And the fear of God came upon all the kingdoms of those countries when they heard that the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel. So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet, for his God gave him rest round about.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
