Wonder

Wonder

A garment expressive of praise for a spirit of heaviness…

What are you wearing?

What are you expressing?

What is your expression?

For your face is ravishing?

Don’t you love it when your beloved expresses such joy and delight?

Is it not delightful.

Does it not bring such joy.

What she expresses is so powerful.

Beyond her ability to understand.

The radiance of her expression warms your soul.

It is like sitting in front of a fire, bringing such warmth, comfort and ease, such joy and delight. Is this not my expression of praise?

Astounding, abounding, abundant, bursting through, lifting the great heaviness that rests upon you.

For this is no put on. This is no pretence. This is by glory bursting through the dullness, the greyness, the storm, the darkness, the misery, the pressure, the depression.

For she wears my garment of praise. It rests upon her shoulders. Light and easy. A restful expression, a joyful expression, an expression of my love and delight.

Is her face not ravishing? Is her voice not soothing? For she is my delight.

For I have seen the look of wonder on your face.

An expression of wonder.

An expression of wonder, an embrace of wonder, a look of wonder, a wonderful moment full of wonder.

For I wonder.

I wonder.

What is it to wonder?

What is it to be in the presence of wonder?

For you were designed to be wonderful, full of wonder, to rest in the place of awe and wonder.

Adjust your focus.

For what is it you are wondering about?

Just stay in the place of wonder, rest in the place of wonder, just express my wonder.

For there is no fear in my wonder, only delight, only joy, only praise, only power, only passion, only courage, only a drawing, only curiousness, only fascination, only engagement, only a stopping, only a pausing, only a triumphant spirit.

For when you look upon my wonder, there is a sense of power, a lifting up, a rising up, a standing up of your spirit, a moment of amen, a moment of unity, a strengthening, a releasing, a moment where your spirit says “ahhhh”, a release of praise.

A lifting up of wonder, an elevation of wonder, a rising up of wonder, a fullness of wonder.

For you need to remove all speculation, cast down all speculation, tred all speculation underfoot, bury all notions of gloom and doom.

Embrace wonder, hold on to wonder, look upon wonder, feel wonder, feel the warmth of wonder.

For the embrace of wonder, is the expression of praise.

For we feel you surround us. And our our hearts cry Holy…. we feel you all around. Isaiah 61:1-4 THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound, To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favor]and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion—to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit—that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. And they shall rebuild the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former desolations and renew the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
