Without Reserve

Come forward…

Be…. Forward

I’m bringing you forward.

Yes you! Come forward!

Be not behind. Be forward.

Come to the front.

There is a spot for you up the front.

I’ve reserved a spot for you, beyond where you can see.

You are looking for a place towards the front.

A place closer to shelter, a place closer to where you will meet. A place you will not need to run from. A place that is convenient.

Like the disabled spot. Right near the front door, so you need less energy to move.

But where do you stop, before coming to rest.

You smile to yourself as you come to the end of the journey.

You drive half way down the street, further than you have come before.

There’s a spot. You can see it clearly in front of you. You pause momentarily thinking, can I go further? You stop, for you are uncertain that you can park further up, or how long you can stay.

You hop out of the car and walk towards the place of meeting. You smile at my goodness as you walk. There’s a spot, and another and another, on and on you walk. For there are many spots I have reserved for you up front.

You hesitate for you do not want to push your way in. But have you not seen, have you not heard? It is I that has invited you. I am calling you to come up front.

Come forward and be recognised.

Do not be shy, do not be embarrassed, for I am calling you forth.

Come out of seclusion, for I want to hear your voice and see your face.

Song of Songs 2:10-14 My beloved speaks and says to me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. For, behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. The fig tree puts forth and ripens her green figs, and the vines are in blossom and give forth their fragrance.Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away. jSo I went with him, and when we were climbing the rocky steps up the hillside, my beloved shepherd said to me O my dove, while you are here in the seclusion of the clefts in the solid rock, in the sheltered and secret place of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely.

Did you not feel it? Did you not see it?

It pours from your pores, when you pause!

It falls from your eyes now…

You saw the joy flow from their face, the radiance of my glory, shining from them!

It was wonderful, and full of wonder.

See what happens when you carry all that represents you two, and present it, with my presence, it truly represents me!

Have you not seen, have you not heard?

Ask for that which truly represents all that I am… taste and see for the Lord is good!

John 16:24-25 Up to this time you have not asked a single thing in My Name aspresenting all that I AM; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy (gladness, delight) may be full and complete. I have told you these things in parables (veiled language, allegories, dark sayings); the hour is now coming when I shall no longer speak to you in figures of speech, but I shall tell you about the Father in plain words and openly (without reserve).

Come forth, be recognised! Express yourself, express me.

For you shall have full expression, an expression of my fullness.

For I have seen your works, I have ordered your steps. It is time to come to the front. It is time to come to the fore. It is time to come to the forefront!

Without reserve, be without reserve, abandon all reserve, for I have made a reservation for you!

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
