Without Boundary

So where do you draw the line?

What is the point of the line?

Why draw the line?

You say “for definition”, yet what defines you?

You say “perfect melancholy” and you will not rest unless you are perfect or in a state of melancholy.

Why the label, why the definition, have I not called you to be free?

You want to celebrate freedom, and yet every day seek to contain yourself, define yourself, draw the line somewhere.

Yet Lord did you not say “I have tied you to the boundary line, when you move the boundary moves with you”

Yet I have also said, today this day shall the curse be removed and the boundary far extended.

You push back and yet I want you to push forward.

You run around in circles, walking the path of containment, and yet have I not told you to burst forth?

You struggle with pressure and tension, you tie yourself up in knots, you feel each day even more confined. You impose on yourself, that which is no longer your responsibility.

Why imprison yourself, you sit in the cell, with keys in your hand, in the place of darkness, in the dungeon, afraid to come out into the light.

You fight with yourself, within and without, you struggle to get a grip, you want something to hold on to, and yet IT IS I THAT HOLDS YOUR HAND!!!

Come out of seclusion, stop being so shy about it.

You see the bruises on your body all around, you feel the pain every time you move, you wrestle with what you have, what you contain, what you should let go of.

Yet are these not the marks of a warrior, not a worrier!

Have I not called you, and appointed you, have I not commanded your steps, your actions.

Be strong and courageous, not weak and feeble and discouraged.

Say no to the dissing, remove all dissent, take off the prefix, am I not before, am I not the first, am I not that which comes before.

Repeat after me.

Ascent not descent

Appointment not disappointment

Courage not discourage.

Strength not weakness.

Power not hesitation

Might not downcast, casting out, not holding on to.

For I have not cast you out, I have set you free.

You are not in exile you are the KING OF THIS DOMAIN.

You look for the place of rest, yet this is the place of victory.

This is the place without boundary, without restriction, without restraint.

For I have broken the chains, I have messed up the definition, I have destroyed the lines that contain.

You seek to colour between the lines, and yet there is no boundary, the definition redefined.

For this is holy ground, this is my place, this is my land, this is the place of expansion, of appointment, of definition, of release, of delivery, of purpose, of power.

For this is the place of fire.

For I am bursting forth in power and might, I create my own spectacle, I am my own definition, I am the author of the new. I break the natural lines.

You see it now, the flames rise from the edge, the appearance of the natural and yet what you see is not what is.

Your definition is off, your frame of reference is wrong, you are wired in the natural to see that which is natural.

Yet what I am doing is beyond your wildest imagination, my fire attracts you to it, you become consumed by it, and yet it does not consume.

Evidence of how I work, beyond the boundary, beyond the definition, over the line.

Yet am I not in the fire, I’m comfortable with the fire, I am the author of it, I am not afraid of it.

Here you sit, you cannot go come because of the fire that rages across the boundary, across the road from your house.

Yet I invite you in, I say come closer, I say come out of seclusion, I say take off your shoes, in the place of extreme heat.

For this is not what it seems, did Moses get burnt?

For I want you to get comfortable in the place of discomfort. Comfort without the prefix.

Have I not given you access, have I not invited you in, have I not called you by name?

You feel in now don’t you, it burns within you, I burn within you, I’m firing you up!

For you shall be my flint, you shall be my accelerant, my fire starter, and I am fanning the flame.

“I’m letting out this fire tonight, that’s burning in my spirit… I might make a scene tonight, I might come unraveled”

You need not be afraid, for this is how I roll. I say to the enemy light it up, and he obeys my command, and yet he will be the one who is burnt.

For I am not backing down, I’m lighting it up, for my fire knows no boundary, except that which I define. For the wind blows at my command, the tree burns and yet is not consumed. You walk with me by fire, your hand shakes as you type, for you feel my power!

“You turn my night in to day, I’ve got a love on fire”

“The kind of love that what won’t back down”

When you walk in the fire and yet are not consumed by it, promotion is inevitable, is a consequence, is a byproduct, is the only result.

Daniel 3:20-30 And he commanded the strongest men in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Then these three men were bound in their cloaks, their tunics or undergarments, their turbans, and their other clothing, and they were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent and the furnace exceedingly hot, the flame and sparks from the fire killed those men who handled Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king saw and was astounded, and he jumped up and said to his counselors, Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered, True, O king. He answered, Behold, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt! And the form of the fourth is like a son of the gods! Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, you servants of the Most High God, come out and come here. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out from the midst of the fire. And the satraps, the deputies, the governors, and the king’s counselors gathered around together and saw these men—that the fire had no power upon their bodies, nor was the hair of their head singed; neither were their garments scorched or changed in color or condition, nor had even the smell of smoke clung to them. Then Nebuchadnezzar said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, Who has sent His angel and delivered His servants who believed in, trusted in, and relied on Him! And they set aside the king’s command and yielded their bodies rather than serve or worship any god except their own God. Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, and language that speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego shall be cut in pieces and their houses be made a dunghill, for there is no other God who can deliver in this way! Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon.

“We were made to burn, like the stars above, singing of his grace, His love is wild and is breaking down all defences”

For the enemy shall have no defence against my fire, cannot cope with, has no strategy against it, shall be consumed by it, shall be consumed with it.

For I am pouring out my fire, you see the blaze all around, my all consuming, my all unconsuming fire.

Get used to the place of fire, get familiar with the fire, for it is I that fires you up, that fuels your advance, that burns down the boundary, that sets fire to all that stands in your way.

You need not be confused, you need not worry about destruction, or persecution, or restriction. You will see only the ruins of the enemies camp.

Exodus 3:2-8 The Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, yet was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush is not burned. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the midst of the bush and said, Moses, Moses! And he said, Here am I. God said, Do not come near; put your shoes off your feet, for the place on which you stand is holy ground. Also He said, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God. And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters and oppressors; for I know their sorrows and sufferings and trials. And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand and power of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a land good and large, a land flowing with milk and honey a land of plenty—to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
