Why are you late?
Why are you late?
My period is late because you are pregnant.
You are used to the regular. But now get ready for the irregular. The unexpected. Out of your usual pattern.
It is no cause for alarm, it is cause for excitement. The change of colour, changes everything.
I’m birthing something new. Do you not see it, know it? It is beyond your comprehension. It is something you have not yet experienced. It has a due date. If it is overdue, you know it is coming soon.
I’m overdue, I am due. What is coming? What will it look like? How will I handle it? I’m struggling to cope now!
It is not more than you can bear, just bear down. Get in the birth position. Praise is the birth position. Squat, and you will receive more than squat.
It is time to expand, to stretch to push out what I have put in you.
Get excited, complete the nursery, get ready for movement, for momentum, for acceleration. A Snowball in the midst of summer. A Snowballs chance in Hell? I do love the impossible. Can’t you see it rolling, expanding, growing despite the heat!
No more doubt, just believe, and keep, and walk and do.
Pregnant with expectation, I’m teetering on the brink, on the edge, on the lip. Like a ball rolling to the edge of the bowl, the crater, it rolls up to the edge, then it rests upon it. Will it go over the edge or fall back and lose momentum? It rests upon the edge, it rolls along the edge, it runs around the edge. Like a roulette wheel, it picks up speed. Will it fly off? On which number will it fall? We have put all our chips on black. The movement the momentum, more or less, where will it fall. Anyone’s guess? But this is not a gamble, this is not a game, this is our life. Teetering on the edge. At your breath it falls, it slows, it speeds, it moves.
This ball, this seed, is in my hands, it’s direction set by my hand, it’s balance unwavering, it’s course certain. Its destination pre-destined.
The crossing over, the movement over the edge, is at my command.
