What’s New

What’s new?

Yes what is new?

What do you expect to be new?

What would you like to be new?

New for old replacement…

What would you like to replace?

Stress for relaxation. Uncertainty with confidence Poverty with wealth Debt with credit Loan for gift Weakness for strength Giving with receiving Endurance with passion Survival with joy Overwork for over play, for too much play Responsibilities for freedom Pieces for peace Loss for gain Less for more More for less The new without the pain of the old Obstacles for smooth path Problems with solutions My burden for the shared burden

So just be….

Relaxed. Confident Wealthy Secure Gifted Strong Open Passionate Joyful Playful Free Peaceful Victorious Abundant Painfree Expectant The solution Without burden

So again I ask – what is new?

Release your grip, as I have hold of you.

Don’t try to be a peace, just receive my peace in exchange for your pieces.

No need to try to be strong, you don’t need to go to the Gym, you don’t need to work out, to work it out, just be strong. Have I not given you strength that no hostile power can overcome. Do you not have evidence of this. Time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time again, they came for you, they held you captive, but I flexed your muscles and they were shattered.

For Samson knew his strength, was boastful in his strength, and his ego was his downfall.

Yet you are stronger than he….

You downplay your strength, you diminish your strength, you feel as one without strength, yet you obey and be present, when any other would be absent.

At your weakest, the strongest giant is no match for you.

You recall it now don’t you, the enemy physically shaken by your words, right when they think they have you cornered. Backed in to a corner you bring the whole house down.

You remember it now don’t you? The vision of the puny arm, without muscle, just skin and bone, bruised and battered by many battles, in a arm wrestle with the strongest arm. Yet I declared it “not a fair fight”, I called it “a bit one sided”, I said “you better call it off as someone is going to get hurt”.

You recall it now don’t you… The puny, weak, palsied arm, breaking the strong arm of the enemy, and smashing the foundation that supported it, breaking the table it rested upon.

You pause and wonder how you will push through, how you will break through, you seek to gather your strength. Yet your renown, your reputation goes before you. Your opponents don’t know what to think of you. They underestimate you.

At first they laugh as they think this must be a joke, but then they default, they run from the battle as they hear of your great exploits.

So again I ask… What is new?

I know you don’t want to boast in your strength, but feel free to boast in my strength.

For you know that you are gifted, but think that is all you are.

Open your eyes and see again, recognise all that you have been given.

Your favourite thing is to give a gift, and yet struggle to receive, struggle with the reception. You give of yourself, and yet expect rejection.

Yet you have left so much unwrapped. Like a little child, you got so excited about the one gift, you failed to open the others. I love that you love her so much, for she is my best gift for you, yet there is so much more to unwrap.

Unwrap peace, unwrap joy, unwrap the treasure box, unwrap hope, unwrap freedom, unwrap kindness, unwrap power, unwrap laughter, unwrap spontaneity, unwrap victory, unwrap celebration, take you your position, accept your promotion.

For the rejected shall become the cornerstone, the one that holds all things together. Is this not my nature.

Take a new disposition, take my posture, take my countenance, take my possessions, take my power, take my authority, for the enemy trembles before you.

You hesitate to take, as you would rather give, yet it is not robbery to take the gift which has been given to you.

Picture this… my hand outstretched with all the things you ask for, the best gifts, at least as good as the one you love the most.

For I have not rejected you, I have not forgotten you, I want to give you all that you have missed out on. You ponder and wonder whether this is fair, whether this is just, you desire nothing more than me, yet I desire, yet you are my desire.

I know what you have done, am I not a rewarder of those who diligently seek me? Have you not been diligent? So will you not accept your reward?

I have so much more for you, lets have a party, let’s celebrate my goodness together.

You want to hold back, as you find all this attention embarrassing. You want to stay in seclusion, yet I have called you out.

Isaiah 54:1-5 Spread Out! Think Big! “Sing, barren woman, who has never had a baby. Fill the air with song, you who’ve never experienced childbirth! You’re ending up with far more children than all those childbearing women.” God says so! “Clear lots of ground for your tents! Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big! Use plenty of rope, drive the tent pegs deep. You’re going to need lots of elbow room for your growing family. You’re going to take over whole nations; you’re going to resettle abandoned cities. Don’t be afraid—you’re not going to be embarrassed. Don’t hold back—you’re not going to come up short. You’ll forget all about the humiliations of your youth, and the indignities of being a widow will fade from memory. For your Maker is your bridegroom, his name, God-of-the-Angel-Armies! Your Redeemer is The Holy of Israel, known as God of the whole earth.

My words echo in your ears “don’t hold back, for you won’t be embarrassed”

You have not held back, so I am not holding back.

Genesis 22:16-18 And said, I have sworn by Myself, says the Lord, that since you have done this and have not withheld from Me or begrudged giving Me your son, your only son, In blessing I will bless you and in multiplying I will multiply your descendants like the stars of the heavens and like the sand on the seashore. And your Seed (Heir) will possess the gate of His enemies, And in your Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed and bless themselves, because you have heard and obeyed My voice.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
