What Lies Before
Caught up in the vortex, in the whirlwind of your thoughts.
Caught up in the movement.
Caught up in the turmoil of your thoughts.
That's understandable.
For this is how I see it.
For this is how I see you.
One step after another.
For in the natural, when the foot is placed on the puddle of water, there are after effects, there is a disturbance, there is a noticeable event, the observer can see the place upon which you stood.
For in the sand, for upon the sand of the shore, you can see the footprints of those who went there before you.
For in the mud, it is only after the wet has passed, and the dry has come, that you can see from whence you came.
Yet in the fluid place, in the place of the disturbance, in the place that moves, how do you discern from whence you have come and where you are going?
For there are no indicators from whence you have come, and there is no clarity, there is nothing solid to determine where it is safe to put your foot.
Yet there you stand upon the water.
In the place of reflection.
In the place of perspective.
In the place of the angle of the light, amidst the darkness all around, how can you discern where you have placed your foot.
For in the right light, at the right angle, the puddle looks no different from the calm water of the lake.
For how do you know what is beneath, until you walk on it?
In one place the ground is solid beneath, in another there is no ground beneath.
Yet in the place of reflection, there is no difference.
Yet in the place of reflection, it is all the same to me.
For in your humanity you take care to discern the nature of the ground upon which you walk.
Yet in my divinity I walk upon my word, and there is nothing that can pull me under, there is nothing that can cause me to decrease, or to lower myself.
Yet I lowered myself by choice.
And that choice has taken me to the highest place.
For man discerns the miracle of the moment to be the evidence, the incidence, the manifestation of that which is impossible for them.
Yet for me it was an ordinary thing.
For I determine my course, I step out and the land conforms to my path. That is is fluid to you, is solid to me.
You perceive an obstacle that can not be crossed, I see no limit to my progress.
You discern a boundary, I discern no limit to my progress.
You look to find a way around, I just take another step.
For I walk upon the ground of my own word.
Yet when you see an obstacle you have nothing to say.
You fold back into yourself.
You pull your head inwards, for you are tired of "sticking your neck out".
Yet I have given you divine strength that no hostile power can overcome.
And yet what is the context of this strength?
Your command to Jeremiah to speak all that you have commanded him to say.
So what is the interpretation of this? What is the meaning of this?
What I say about my future, determines my future. And the strength that flows comes from my alignment with your word.
So when you a confronted with an obstacle, do as I do, say what I say about it.
Say "of course" not "off course"
Say what I have said to you, do not speak about the obstacle that stands before you, do not describe the circumference of it, the capacity of the it, the depths of it, the characteristics of it.
Speak of what is on the other side.
Speak of the destination.
Speak of what life will be like on the other side.
Describe it to them, describe the circumference of it, the capacity of it, the depths of it, the characteristics of it.
Describe the end, not the means.
Anticipate the end from the beginning.
Start with the end in mind.
Start with your imagination, describe with fascination, the breadth and depths of the new frontier. Describe with awe and wonder all that lies ahead.
For there were so many defining moments for you.
Some you remember and some you don't.
Some you think were defining and some you think were just a natural, logical thing for you.
What if one of the most defining moments, was a moment where you are sitting on your chair in the dark, in abject darkness, looking for the light way beyond your position.
In a moment of awe and wonder, reflecting upon the glory and wonder of that which lies so far off, that which appears as a small thing before you, and yet you were drawn to it, curious about it, joyful about it, excited about the possibilities.
For I am unveiling again that moment, that defining moment.
For this is like that moment, curious enough, excited enough, describing what lies before, in order to embrace what lies ahead.
