Well Watered
For you shall be well watered.
I’m crafting the water spout. Forming the holes, the pores, when you pause.
You see the trickle at first, the condensation, the mist in the midst.
Form, the flow, the flow, the form. The form of the flow.
I’m shaping the spout, so don’t pout.
It pours as you pause. It flows where it goes. Not too much, not too little, some on the leaves, some on the stem, some on the soil, some on the root.
As you off load, I outpour. I download. Put down your load as I down load.
It shall be well as I water. You will need no well to be assured of water.
Isaiah 58:11 The Lord will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.
For you are my fountain.
A fountain without containment.
This is your measure. Not a cup. Not a container, a fountain.
Luke 6:38 Give, and gifts will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they pourinto the pouch formed by the bosom of your robe and used as a bag. For with the measure you deal out with the measure you use when you confer benefits on others, it will be measured back to you.
A fountain in the midst. Flow in the place of dryness. Abundance in the place of lack. It sprinkles in the hard places, it rushes in the broken places, like a river it flows. Just enough, the right amount, not too much, not too little.
In stead, instead, in the place of, in lieu of. Time in lieu, abundance in lieu, in spite of, instead of spite.
Isaiah 61:2-4 He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory. They will rebuild the ancient ruins, repairing cities destroyed long ago. They will revive them, though they have been deserted for many generations.
Continuous flow, running over, spreading out. You pick up the dry sand, you put down the soft soil, the fertile soil.
For YOU shall be my watered garden, wherever you walk – a garden. A walking oasis. A font, a fount, of knowledge, a resource. A re sourcing, a new source.
