Undefeated
“Let me introduce you to the undefeated champion in the left corner of the ring, and on the right….”
The trumpet blasts, the announcement made over the loud speaker.
After a long wait, the crowd becomes restless, for they came for a fight, they expected a fight, and yet they shall be disappointed.
For it is by a single word, that the worthiest of champions, fails to come forward.
“Undefeated”
If it was just a single fight, then the word would have little impact.
If the champion was young, his opponent may yet come forth, thinking he lacks the experience of a master.
Yet he is very old and grey.
“Perhaps this is only because his battles have been few”, his opponent asks?
Yet the response is not what he hoped for, is not what he expected….
“Heaps, upon heaps, multiplied multiples, a multitude”
They all asked each other to attend to it, “you first”, they said.
Yet, when nominated, the best of them ran away, fled the scene, went AWOL.
“My victory is in one name, the name of Jesus”
Yet what is it that causes you alarm?
What is it that causes you to fear?
Loss of hope, loss of strength
How is it that you can lose that which is within you?
For the joy of the Lord IS your strength, not shall be your strength.
For faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
For you close your eyes hoping that your reality is but a dream.
You open them again, yet nothing has changed, for you are my instrument of change.
Ephesians 1:17-20 For I always pray to the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation of insight into mysteries and secrets in the deep and intimate knowledge of Him, By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones), And so that you can know and understand what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength, Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places,
For I have given you the eyes of Elisha, the power of Elisha, the power to alter destinies, the power to resurrect, the power to overcome, the power to bring victory in the place of defeat.
1 Corinthians 12:4 Now there are distinctive varieties and distributions of endowments (gifts, extraordinary powers distinguishing certain Christians, due to the power of divine grace operating in their souls by the Holy Spirit) and they vary, but the Holy Spirit remains the same.
So how can the one who has the power to resurrect ever be defeated?
For I have given you the power of reversal, to rewind, to restore, to transform, to unbind, to release, to rescue, to lift up, to raise up, to overthrow.
Jeremiah 1:17-19 But you Jeremiah, gird up your loins! Arise and tell them all that I command you. Do not be dismayed and break down at the sight of their faces, lest I confound you before them and permit you to be overcome. For I, behold, I have made you this day a fortified city and an iron pillar and bronze walls against the whole land—against the successive kings of Judah, against its princes, against its priests, and against the people of the land giving you divine strength which no hostile power can overcome. And they shall fight against you, but they shall not finally prevail against you, for I am with you, says the Lord, to deliver you.
Here, I am giving you my strength, receive it and be strong.
For the troops grow weary of boredom, and a great victory is near.
What is your decree, what is your declaration?
Tell them how it shall be, tell them what it looks like, describe for them what is it you see.
Your opponent tells you how they see it, yet I have shown you how it shall be.
Who are you going to agree with?
Paint them a picture. Seriously paint them a picture, then spell it out for them.
You pause and wonder if they will listen to you, for you know how to wrestle with an issue.
Yet I have not called you to be a wrestler, I have called you to make a proclamation and then take action to bring about what I told you to say.
For you have seen but a glimpse of what is to come.
You look to others for great inspiration, yet it is you, yes YOU I have called to be an inspiration.
You loved working for those, who would declare “this is a red letter day”, such a great inspiration to many, yet his dreams were not my dreams.
You go looking for lack, and expect lack, and receive lack.
Yet now you will lack nothing, for you have found abundance.
You pause as you place your foot upon the edge.
It is time to cross over, break out, burst forth.
For the seed pod, under the pressure of the rising tide, the flood waters, bursts forth, spreading that which is within to those without.
