Uncover

Uncover

Uncover to discover to recover.

Uncover to discover to recover.

For the scratching of the surface.

For the scouring of the surface.

For the scratching causes that which is hard to become soft.

Don’t scrap the scratching.

Piles and piles of scratchings.

A scratch here, a scratch there.

A tearing here.

A tearing there.

Like a prisoner trying to escape that which contains him.

Why the scratching when I have made you free?

Why the confinement when you are the one who brings freedom?

For you rest upon that which covers.

For you rest upon the covering.

Take up that which you rest upon.

Take up your mat and walk.

For what lies beneath is majesty.

For the king is not the one who wears the royal robe. He is king with or without clothes.

For what lies beneath you is majestic.

For what lies beneath the surface is majesty.

For the pure stream lies beneath the surface.

I see you clawing at the covers, try to get beneath the surface.

Yet you shall peal it back.

Peal it back like a pool cover.

For the one who wants to swimming does not scratch at the cover.

And what lies beneath is not the stagnant pool, the green muck, but the purest water, the refreshing water, the living water.

And yet that which lies beneath shall rise to the surface, shall make waves upon the surface, shall overflow across the land.

“Uncontained, be uncontained as God pours into our container there shall be overflow”

Judges 15:19
And God split open the hollow place that was at Lehi, and water came out of it. And when he drank, his spirit returned and he revived. Therefore the name of it was called En-hakkore [the spring of him who prayed], which is at Lehi to this day.

Not just a scratching but an engraving.

Not a scratch that but a carving, an embedding, for you shall leave your mark.

Habakkuk 2:2-3
And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day.
Isaiah 49:16-20
Can’t you see?
I have carved your name on the palms of my hands!
Your walls are always my concern.
Your children, your builders, are running back to you as those who ruined and destroyed you are running away.
Lift up your head and look all around you.
See! All your children, your builders, gather to come back to you.
As surely as I live, I make this promise,” says Yahweh.
“You will wear them all like jewels,
as a radiant bride wears her beautiful jewelry!
“See? Your ruins and devastated places
will soon be overcrowded with settlers
while your destroyers stay far away.
You thought you had lost the children,
but you will hear them say,
‘This place is too cramped for me.
Make more room for me to live in.’

For I am carving out a path for you.

An engraving cannot be erased.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
