Triumphant

Inquire or Enquire?

What is the nature of your enquiry?

How may I be of assistance?

Let me know how I could help you best.

What is it you seek?

Who is it you are looking for?

How may I direct your call?

How may I direct your call?

How may I provide direction for your calling?

I need help with directions? I don’t know what it is that I want? I don’t know who to ask for help? My tired is too tired. I go to bed tired, I wake up tired. I am tired of being tired.

Yet what is it you are wearing?

If you are worn out, what is it you are wearing out?

What is it you are wearing?

What is between you are the elements?

What is between your skin and the cold wind that blows?

What is between your vulnerability and your opponent, the one who opposes you?

My weakness My tiredness

You often hear it from your beloved son. You ask him “how are you my son?”, and he says “I’m tired!”. The words irritate your ears, rub against your grain, annoy you greatly. For you say to yourself, “you have no reason to be tired”, “you don’t know what it is to be tired”, “if you didn’t go to bed so late you would not be tired”, don’t say “I am tired”, for that is not how you should describe yourself, your life!

Yet these are the words you use to describe yourself, worn out, beyond it, over it, exhausted, weary, wary, hesitant, circumspect, withdrawn, exiled, rejected!

Well just let me say “I AM OVER IT!”

Instead say to yourself…

I am strong.

I am rich.

I am confident.

I am in charge.

I am appointed.

I am anointed.

I am powerful.

I am a mighty warrior.

I am chosen.

I am dominant.

I set the agenda.

I tell it as it is, and how it shall be.

I am certain.

What I declare, shall come to pass.

Release yourself.

Let yourself go.

Seriously let yourself go.

For that which holds you back, that which keeps you down, is your own hand!

Rise up, get up, possess that which I have given you.

For I have given it to you.

Unfold your arms.

Open your hand.

Close your eyes and put out your hand.

Seriously, just put out your hand.

Extend your hand, and you shall be extended.

Push back that which opposes you, and your opponent shall fall.

For they rise up and laugh at you.

You look upon them with fear and disdain.

Yet they laugh at you, more and more, more and more.

“Why is it they laugh?” you say, you want to engage in debate with them, about why they are laughing.

They laugh at your posture. Rolled in upon yourself, curled up in a ball, in a defensive position.

Look again upon yourself, what is it you see?

All around me, surrounded on all sides, by the laughter of my enemy.

Look upon yourself, not your enemy, what is it you see?

A huge giant of a man, bigger than anyone I have seen. Wrapped in a gold suit of armour. Curled up in a ball. Alongside him rests a huge sword.

Now you know.

Now you know.

Now you know, what is so funny.

Why would the strongest man, rest in the place of defeat, curled up in a ball?

Because he feels the loss of all that matters.

I was there with you on the floor.

“I hear your SOS, your SOS.”

“I will send out an army to find you in the middle of the night”

“You are not defenceless, I will be your shelter, I will be your armour.”

For the glory shines upon your rising.

For your rising shall be glorious.

Pick up your sword, and ride out triumphantly in a spirit of humility and righteousness.

Psalms 45:3-5 Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O mighty One, in Your glory and Your majesty! And in Your majesty ride on triumphantly for the cause of truth, humility, and righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God); and let Your right hand guide You to tremendous things. Your arrows are sharp; the peoples fall under You; Your darts pierce the hearts of the King’s enemies.

“We know that yours is the victory.”

“We call out to dry bones, come alive”

Lift up your voice.

Lift up yourself.

Stand with confidence.

For the one who stands with you, possesses all strength.

You can be confident in my support.

Rest on me, lean into me.

Here, take my strength, my divine strength.

It is time to set the agenda.

Write your manifesto, and watch me manifest it.

For it unfurls before you.

For it unfurls before you.

What is it you see unfolding before you?

A giant scroll unfurling across the room, on and on before me. Then the words come to life, come off the page and become manifest.

The solution to your tiredness is to rest, rest upon my word, and leave the rest to me.

Rise up Oh mighty one, and ride out triumphantly.

For this territory is yours, remember who gave it to you.

Zechariah 9:11-17 As for you also, because of and for the sake of the covenant of the Lord with His people, which was sealed with sprinkled covenant blood, I have released and sent forth your imprisoned people out of the waterless pit. Return to the stronghold of security and prosperity, you prisoners of hope; even today do I declare that I will restore double your former prosperity to you. For I have bent Judah for Myself as My bow, filled the bow with Ephraim as My arrow, and will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and will make you Israel as the sword of a mighty man. And the Lord shall be seen over them and His arrow shall go forth as the lightning, and the Lord God will blow the trumpet and will go forth in the windstorms of the south. The Lord of hosts shall defend and protect them; and they shall devour and they shall tread on their fallen enemies as on slingstones that have missed their aim, and they shall drink of victory and be noisy and turbulent as from wine and become full like bowls used to catch the sacrificial blood, like the corners of the sacrificial altar. And the Lord their God will save them on that day as the flock of His people, for they shall be as the precious jewels of a crown, lifted high over and shining glitteringly upon His land. For how great is God’s goodness and how great is His beauty! And how great He will make Israel’s goodliness and Israel’s beauty! Grain shall make the young men thrive and fresh wine the maidens.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
