The Shore Line

The Shore Line

I am the boundary

This is the place of contrast

Of light and dark

Of intense happiness, of mourning

Of tension between the flow and the land

The place of softness of sand

The place of hard rocky ground

The place of relaxation. It is the crashing waves that soothes and relaxes. Where on the water there is stress and fear.

Psalms 23:2-3 He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.

The place of discovery, the place of loss

The place of provision, the place of disaster.

The place of warmth.

The place of exposure, the place of covering.

The place of intimacy, the place of love, of romance.

The place of fond memories.

The place of turbulence, the place of calm.

Psalms 42:7-11 I hear the tumult of the raging seas as your waves and surging tides sweep over me. But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life. “O God my rock,” I cry, “Why have you forgotten me? Why must I wander around in grief, oppressed by my enemies?” Their taunts break my bones. They scoff, “Where is this God of yours?” Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again—my Savior and my God!

It is in the water. It is in the sand. It is a paradox.

Stand in the water, but come and rest on the shore line, the sure line.

The boundary is My comfort. I stand on the Shore Line the Sure Line.

This site is about elevating the word, lifting what God says higher than our circumstance -what we see with our own eyes, our perspectives of knowledge and understanding.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
