The Seed of Prosperity
Taste and see, just taste and see, just a taste of things to come.
How does it taste?
What is its flavour?
What is it made of?
What does it look like?
Can you distinguish the taste from the look?
How will you know what it tastes like from what you see?
If you have seen nothing like it before, why will you hesitate to taste it?
For it is not how it appears.
It looked like bacon and eggs on toast, but it was really ice cream and toffee on sponge cake.
You had to take the leap of faith in order to experience it.
You put your trust in the chef that it would be a worthy experience. You paid the high price of entry, your expectations of the taste were high. He did not disappoint.
How do you regard what I have put in your hand?
I once regarded it as bittersweet. Full of expectation and anticipation and I was grateful for the opportunity to taste of your goodness. Yet I found your goodness corrupted by the bitterness of man, the opponents of change, the battle for change. Now I regard it as a radical instrument of change, full of goodness, full of your fullness, a fullness that overcomes all lack.
You have chosen well. For my fullness overflows in the place of lack.
I have placed in your hand the overflowing cup. Like a seed sown it grows and cannot be stopped. A radical seed that grows in any environment.
In the place of harshness, an overflow of kindness.
In the place of angst, comfort.
In the place of anxiety, certainty of outcome.
In the place of strain, freedom.
In the place of lack, abundant abundance.
I’m doing something new. I am planting, I have planted the seed of peace and prosperity.
In this season, at this time, there shall be no consideration of budget. For I have planted the seed of prosperity.
Selah, pause and think calmly on that.
For the farmer plants the seed and hopes the environment, the soil, the climate is such that the seed may grow and bear fruit.
But the seed I have given you shall not be like that.
Regardless, without regard, with no regard, regardless of regard, regardless of the attention given to it, it shall bear fruit, it shall be prosperous, it shall bring forth prosperity.
Those who once considered their budget, shall no longer.
Did you not just experience this? The yes, the “go ahead” before any knowledge of cost or specification. For I have gone ahead of you.
I have been watching over my word to perform it. Did I not say that you would be like a well watered garden that never runs out of supply?
It cracks me up, that you are the one who has no regard for the garden, that I have made you a well watered garden!
Why so surprised that the seed from your garden is the seed of prosperity.
For you and your clients will be so prosperous that budget will no longer be the topic of discussion.
For the one who possesses overflow, need have no concern for resource or of supply.
For you are full of it, yes you are full of it, full of my fullness, an oversupply.
You will have so much that you can give away what others consider a lot and not even notice that you are missing it.
For what is a thousand dollars to him who has millions?
More so, what is material to him who possesses that which is most valuable?
Zechariah 8:12-13 For I am planting seeds of peace and prosperity among you. The grapevines will be heavy with fruit. The earth will produce its crops, and the heavens will release the dew. Once more I will cause the remnant in Judah and Israel to inherit these blessings. Among the other nations, Judah and Israel became symbols of a cursed nation. But no longer! Now I will rescue you and make you both a symbol and a source of blessing. So don’t be afraid. Be strong, and get on with rebuilding the Temple! Zechariah 9:12-17 Return to the stronghold of security and prosperity, you prisoners of hope; even today do I declare that I will restore double your former prosperity to you. For I have bent Judah for Myself as My bow, filled the bow with Ephraim as My arrow, and will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and will make you Israel as the sword of a mighty man. And the Lord shall be seen over them and His arrow shall go forth as the lightning, and the Lord God will blow the trumpet and will go forth in the windstorms of the south. The Lord of hosts shall defend and protect them; and they shall devour and they shall tread on their fallen enemies as on slingstones that have missed their aim, and they shall drink of victory and be noisy and turbulent as from wine and become full like bowls used to catch the sacrificial blood, like the corners of the sacrificial altar. And the Lord their God will save them on that day as the flock of His people, for they shall be as the precious jewels of a crown, lifted high over and shining glitteringly upon His land. For how great is God’s goodness and how great is His beauty! And how great He will make Israel’s goodliness and Israel’s beauty! Grain shall make the young men thrive and fresh wine the maidens.
