The Power of Patience

The Power of Patience

Let patience.

Let patience.

Just let patience.

Will you just let patience?

Stop wrestling with patience.

Did I ask you to be patience?

Just let patience.

Have patience do it.

Give regard for patience.

Deploy patience to the task.

Assign patience to the task.

She will provide relief.

What is the rush?

Why the angst?

Who told you to be anxious?

Who told you to be patient?

I’d rather that you are complete.

Inhabit the place of completion.

Possess completion and you shall have no lack.

For patience must do the work.

You wrap yourself up in all the tension.

You fight with me on every detail.

You wrestle with me on the timeline.

You want to hurry things up.

You yell out to me to “hurry up!”. You contort your face and say “FOR GODS SAKE HURRY UP!”

Well for my own sake I’d rather be patient.

James 1:2-4 Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.

What is the rush?

Why the striving for certainty all of a sudden?

Did I not say I am certain!

Did I ask you to be certain??

No I asked for you to be confident, exuberant and expansive IN THE HOLY OF ISRAEL.

Sorry I thought I have better make my point clearer. BE CONFIDENT IN ME!

You want to run so fast in order to get to your destination.

Yet this is not a sprint.

Repeat after me “this is not a sprint!”

Slow the pace, walk with me, actually I want you to lie down!

Yes lie down.

Find rest.

Inhabit rest.

Lie down in the green pasture and close your eyes.

I know how hard this is for you.

I’d rather you were determined not stubborn.

Yet I did say I would need to “make you lie down in green pastures”.

For you shall have rest.

You shall possess my rest.

Take my rest and leave the rest to me.

Psalms 23:1-2 THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack. He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.

I want to say to you, I want this to get deep into your soul, these words – “I HAVE THIS!”

Yes you felt that didn’t you.

Receive this word. “I HAVE THIS”

This is MINE.

My gift to you.

So can take what I have given to you?

Get wrapt up in what I am giving you.

Hold on to that which I am giving you.

I was never any good with tense. My grammar is not like yours.

Hold on to that which I have given you. Yet hold on to that which I am giving you. Take what I am giving you. Receive that which I have given you.

Have I not placed my ring upon you?

Have I not given you the power?

Feel that power.

Yes feel that power.

For what does the one who has everything fear from that who has nothing?

That what is mine would be stolen.

I think you have missed the point.

You are my point.

I am sharpening my point.

For my point shall penetrate deep and wide, shall cut off the enemy from all that he might touch. For I am putting him in isolation.

If you have all power, what should you fear from the one who has none.

For you cannot give away what resides within you.

For it takes great self control not to crush the hand of the weak. >

2 Chronicles 15:7 Be strong, therefore, and let not your hands be weak and slack, for your work shall be rewarded.

Did I not say LET YOUR HANDS BE STRONG! Permit your hands to be strong. I have made your hands strong. Release the power I have placed within your hands.

Zechariah 8:12-13 For there shall the seed produce peace and prosperity; the vine shall yield her fruit and the ground shall give its increase and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit and possess all these things. And as you have been a curse and a byword among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you, and you shall be a blessing. Fear not, but let your hands be strong and hardened.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
