The Place of Wonder

The Place of Wonder

Fountain of overflow

A reverse bomb.

Carried on the explosive overflow. Elevated by the splash. Carried by the fluid. Held up by the bubbles. Supported by the wave. Excited by turbulence.

The joy of the flow. The over flow. The collision of the heavy with the bubbles, the solid with the fluid. Take a breath and jump in. Raise your feet high. Brace yourself for the joy of impact.

Come up, come out, stand on the edge, take a breath and leap in!

Rise up from the place that overwhelms you. Float on that which is fluid. Be buoyant on the flow. In my world the heavy rises on the fluid supported by the lightest air, my breath. Breathe above the surface. Take a breath. Be not agitated or like one who flaps his arms. Be at peace on that which has no substance. On that which flows. This is your ground, this is what supports you, this is your territory. This is your ground. What is fluid for others, is solid for you.

What is uncomfortable for others, is secure for you. Teach them how to float. To rise up to experience the joy of the overflow.

I occupy the stormy place. The sea that crashes and is turbulent, is fun to me. Dance upon the water. Amongst the fountains. Like the kids standing on the ground playing on the fountains. Standing on that which pours out. For me it is like standing on a geyser. An explosive fountain, erupting like a water spout. This is not hot water. This is refreshing, it cools, it relaxes, it brings a smile, it is the place of joy!

I am with you in the pool that overwhelms, that is over your head, for you don’t like to swim alone. My hand guides you, takes you where you need to go. Orientation is not needed, just hold my hand. I’m holding yours. Be not afraid, just float and enjoy the view.

My hand is hot for you. Embrace the heat in the place of the cool. Hot and cold together provide warmth for both.

Walk upon the calm water, stable water, cool upon your toes. Solid underfoot. It laps at your feet. Joyful in this place. The place of joy. The place of joyful overflow. The place overflowing with joy!

Pause in wonder.

John 21:6 And He said to them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat and you will find [some]. So they cast the net, and now they were not able to haul it in for such a big catch (mass, quantity) of fish [was in it].

For the toil is done, the fish has been caught and prepared and bundled up and ready for distribution, for consumption. It has been hauled in. It was a big haul.

John 21:10-11 Jesus said to them, Bring some of the fish which you have just caught. So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net to land, full of large fish, 153 of them; and [though] there were so many of them, the net was not torn.

Your hand tremors from the weight of it all the strength poured out through your hand. It was superhuman. A superhuman effort. How did that happen! You don’t see any evidence of it now. You wonder if was all a dream. You feel the evidence of it in your hand, in your body, in your mind, in your spirit. Surely this was the work of the Lord!

Come and rest and feast with me! Enjoy this moment.

I speak about this like it has already been done. This HAS happened! Why do I know this? Because I see you on my path. I’ve established it, it’s my way, it’s my plan. It has a predictable outcome.

Isaiah 29:9 Stop and wonder [at this prophecy, if you choose, whether you understand it or not; soon you will witness the actual event] and be confounded [reluctantly]! Blind yourselves [now, if you choose; take your pleasure] and then be blinded [at the actual occurrence]. They are drunk, but not from wine; they stagger, but not from strong drink [but from spiritual stupor].

This is not a dream that you wake up from. This is a real memory of a momentous moment. A monument for my glory! Everyone is speaking about it. How is it that everyone you meet will recall with awe what happened. You will meet them, shake their hand, with a shaking hand. And they will laugh and celebrate the goodness of God. Agree with me. This HAS happened. This shall be done. This is an inevitable event! This shall be spoken of for many years to come.

Psalms 139:14 I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
