The Path of Fire

The place of the crossing.

The cris cross. The pushing backwards and forwards. From one side to another.

The turbulent crossing.

Waves crashing upon each other.

And yet, and yet nothing shall oppose you, no thing shall oppose you.

For one side is against another and yet I have set you apart. I have set you in the place of the parting.

In the way of the parting way, I have determined your course, I have established your path.

In the place of the falling, my overflow falls, my abundance falls.

In the place of fire my overflow falls, my water falls. The waterfall balances the eruption.

The fire is not consumed, yet neither is the water heated. You pause and wonder where is the steam?

The natural balance, the supernatural balance. The place of fire and water.

For how is the fire refreshed?

For how is it that you are not refreshed?

For I am fanning the flame.

For I have made you for the fire.

It is easy for you to walk upon the coals.

You feel and see the embers up close.

For I have called you to lie down with those who are aflame.

Psalms 57:4-8 My life is among lions; I must lie among those who are aflame—the sons of men whose teeth are spears and arrows, their tongues sharp swords. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let Your glory be over all the earth! They set a net for my steps; my very life was bowed down. They dug a pit in my way; into the midst of it they themselves have fallen. Selah pause, and calmly think of that! My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is steadfast and confident! I will sing and make melody. Awake, my glory (my inner self); awake, harp and lyre! I will awake right early I will awaken the dawn!

For I have made you the way maker.

For with you, there is always a way.

For where there is no way, I have given you the way. When you walk with the way, nothing can get in your way.

You drive the way maker.

For with this gift I will make a way.

For I have set your course, I have determined your path, I have made a way for you.

For what purpose has the fire in the presence of water?

Steps of fire, footprints of fire, engraved upon the water.

For I have determined the edge, I have set the boundary of the way. I have defined your course. The circumstance, the substance has no impact, for your way shall impact their way. Their path shall be impacted by your path. Their path shall be transformed by your path. A new way, a highway for my chosen.

Isaiah 35:6-8 Then shall the lame man leap like a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing for joy. For waters shall break forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. And the burning sand and the mirage shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water; in the haunt of jackals, where they lay resting, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. And a highway shall be there, and a way; and it shall be called the Holy Way. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it shall be for the redeemed; the wayfaring men, yes, the simple ones and fools, shall not err in it and lose their way.

The path of fire.

For I am peeling back the layers. I am burning off the surface materials, for these are immaterial. I am causing that which is core to flourish.

Beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning.
