The Path

How would you define it?

What do you make of it?

What is it made of?

How would you construct it?

What materials would you use?

How about we start with this?

Rubies not pebbles.

Sapphires not sand.

Gold not cement?

I love the colour, why have the plain when you can have the colour. Have I not given you colour. Walk the path with colour.

Is that not the clue for your context.

Is your context not defined by the one you love?

Is not your home where her heart is?

For this is the land of the promise, this is the land promised, I promise.

Seeds of peace will blossom, prosperity its byproduct.

You rest your fingers upon the land, and feel the anointing, the appointing, the potential, the moisture, the fertility.

You press in, expecting dryness, expecting the muddy, yet you just feel the dew that is due. Not too wet, not too dry, just right.

You feel the uprising, the rising up, the bursting forth, the pressure to growth.

Yet the ground shakes not, it wrestles not, it does not groan with the growth.

It rises in peace and brings prosperity. It makes no fuss, it does not cry out, it just invades, it pervades, it expands, it grows, it rises up silently, gently and yet it grows. Before you know it, it has grown.

Release your potential.

Let me say that again release your potential. You speak that over others, well I speak that over you.

Be released, expand, grow.

I know what you are made of, I know what lies latent within you. Am I not your coach? Am I not the one who made you?

Abandon all constraint, remove the yokes of oppression whereby you have been oppressed. Remove all confinement, come out of seclusion, come out, let me see your face, let me hear your voice.

You feel the restraint, because I have made you bigger than your circumstance, bigger than that which contains you.

You are beyond it, as you were meant to exceed your limit.

Be released, be without limit, abandon all limits, don’t hold back, you will not be embarrassed!

Sing oh barren man, thou who didst not bear, cry aloud, for the children of the barren will outnumber those of the married wife, of the fertile.

Isaiah 54: 1-6

”Sing, barren woman, who has never had a baby. Fill the air with song, you who’ve never experienced childbirth! You’re ending up with far more children than all those childbearing women.” God says so! ”Clear lots of ground for your tents! Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big! Use plenty of rope, drive the tent pegs deep. You’re going to need lots of elbow room for your growing family. You’re going to take over whole nations; you’re going to resettle abandoned cities. Don’t be afraid—you’re not going to be embarrassed. Don’t hold back—you’re not going to come up short. You’ll forget all about the humiliations of your youth, and the indignities of being a widow will fade from memory. For your Maker is your bridegroom, his name, God-of-the-Angel-Armies! Your Redeemer is The Holy of Israel, known as God of the whole earth. You were like an abandoned wife, devastated with grief, and God welcomed you back, Like a woman married young and then left,” says your God.

Picture this, the wilderness now a lush green pasture.

Ezekiel 34:14-15 Yes, I will give them good pastureland on the high hills of Israel. There they will lie down in pleasant places and feed in the lush pastures of the hills. I myself will tend my sheep and give them a place to lie down in peace, says the Sovereign Lord

Yes that is it! You run your fingers through the sand, and it becomes a lush green pasture.

I have placed in your hand the gift of transformation, the ability to transform. The ability to replace lack, with abundance.

All will know where you have walked, as they will see where you have gone, the fruits of your walk will be seen.

Picture this, walking on the sand and it becomes a beautiful path, the garden path, for this is the place of the path.

For I have ordered your steps, I have established your goings.

Let me say that again. I have established your goings.

Psalm 40:1-4 I WAITED patiently and expectantly for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up out of a horrible pit a pit of tumult and of destruction, out of the miry clay (froth and slime), and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings. And He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many shall see and fear (revere and worship) and put their trust and confident reliance in the Lord. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who makes the Lord his refuge and trust, and turns not to the proud or to followers of false gods.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
