The Lengthened Rope

Lengthen your cords and strengthen your stake.

For I have given you much rope.

See it lengthen before your very eyes.

The far flung cord.

It unfurls before your eyes.

I carry it beyond your expectations. Beyond the natural extension.

Beyond the natural extension.

A vast habitation.

It unfurls and extends before you.

A giant tent. The tent of habitation. The tent of meeting.

The tarp, the tent, the sail attached to that which extends.

For a great wind is coming. I’m breathing upon this land.

For there shall be explosive, expansion, expanded extension, extended expansion.

For I am extending it to, this is my hand extended towards you.

For I am moving this boat forward. It moves at my command. It responds to my breath.

For restoration comes at my breath.

Can you feel my breath?

Look for my breath.

For I am extending the shelter. For I am a very present help in times of trouble. I am your refuge and strength.

I’m building a refuge for many.

Isaiah 54:1-6 SING, O barren one, you who did not bear; break forth into singing and cry aloud, you who did not travail with child! For the spiritual children of the desolate one will be more than the children of the married wife, says the Lord. Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; spare not; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes, For you will spread abroad to the right hand and to the left; and your offspring will possess the nations and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. Fear not, for you shall not be ashamed; neither be confounded and depressed, for you shall not be put to shame. For you shall forget the shame of your youth, and you shall not seriously remember the reproach of your widowhood any more. For your Maker is your Husband—the Lord of hosts is His name—and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; the God of the whole earth He is called. For the Lord has called you like a woman forsaken, grieved in spirit, and heartsore—even a wife wooed and won in youth, when she is later refused and scorned, says your God.

I’m calling it the palace of joy, the place of joy, the habitation of joy.

I’m unfurling my plan before you, by your hand, by my hand, my hand upon your hand.

Much strength. Much tension, great expansion, the place of habitation, the place of new habits.

For I have given you my vision.

You see what I see.

I see a grand palace, a huge temple, filled with my kings and priests, worshipping me, filling the chamber with the song of the holy, the set apart, my chosen.

Built with marble, with the finest treasures.

For this is what abundance looks like. This is my place, this is my purpose, my glory, my symbol and source of blessing.

For I shall be glorified in you.

Just let go, release my glory, open the treasure box, unveil, for I am unveiling my plan, I am unveiling, I am revealing my glory.

Zechariah 8:12-13 For I am planting seeds of peace and prosperity among you. The grapevines will be heavy with fruit. The earth will produce its crops, and the heavens will release the dew. Once more I will cause the remnant in Judah and Israel to inherit these blessings. Among the other nations, Judah and Israel became symbols of a cursed nation. But no longer! Now I will rescue you and make you both a symbol and a source of blessing. So don’t be afraid. Be strong, and get on with rebuilding the Temple!

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
