The Land of Birthing

And he makes me lie down in green pastures

And he takes me to the land of the green pastures.

And there I found myself resting upon the pastures

And then I walked upon the fields of pasture.

And then the unexpected happened.

I heard a sound as my foot tread upon that which was green.

A crunching sound. Coupled with the feeling of texture underfoot. A special texture. A unique texture. A tapestry of my goodness. A weaving of all the threads together. For you shall see my hand upon each thread. Every egg in its own organic container. And you see my glory woven into each thread. A golden thread. The same as that I have woven into your robe.

And then as I walked across the field, the vast field that stretched out before my eyes.

And then to my surprise.

And then to my surprise I saw the surface of the ground was like the lavish nest of an eagle.

And then I saw circles hidden amidst the green pasture.

And as You took me closer I could see eggs resting in these circles.

All across the land circles and circles. One circle next to the other. A land of circles. Each circle a nest full of eggs ready for hatching.

And the sun shine across this glorious land.

And your glory shone across the land of birthing.

And then this question “who will feed all of these?”

In a moment, in an instant your transformed me into an eagle. I could see all around me and behind a flock of eagles. In my beak a giant worm trying to escape my grasp. Yet try with all its might it was unable to do so.

I felt the urgency of this rescue mission, like I was leading a great battalion on a mission to feed these chicks that were about to be born.

Harder and harder, faster and faster I flew with all my might and yet wondered if I would get there in time.

And then something magical happened.

Your mist fell across the land of the birth.

A supernatural mist. Like your spirit was hovering over this place.

And the mist rested upon that which was to be born.

And I could see a transfer from the giver of life to that which was about to be born.

And in a moment and in an instant the eggs began to shake and to break free from their confinement. And simultaneously they were born in a moment.

And a great roar broke out across the land. A voice of triumph. The voice of the new being born.

The birth of that which is new.

For what is it you have observed?

A special seed. An unusual seed. An out of place seed. For the egg rests in the elevated place, not the soil. For the soil is unprotected from the wild beasts that would destroy it.

Yet this is my land. And the field of flight. The field of multiplication. The field that I am protecting.

This is the field that required no ploughing, no sowing, no reaping, only a harvest. No need to feed. I have got this sorted. I have prepared this for you.

Isaiah 66:5-14
Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at His word: Your brethren who hate you, who cast you out for My name’s sake, have said, Let the Lord be glorified, that we may see your joy! But it is they who shall be put to shame.
[Hark!] An uproar from the city! A voice from the temple! The voice of the Lord, rendering recompense to His enemies!
Before [Zion] travailed, she gave birth; before her pain came upon her, she was delivered of a male child.
Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Or shall a nation be brought forth in a moment? For as soon as Zion was in labor, she brought forth her children.
Shall I bring to the [moment of] birth and not cause to bring forth? says the Lord. Shall I Who causes to bring forth shut the womb? says your God.
Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad for her, all you who love her; rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn over her,
That you may nurse and be satisfied from her consoling breasts, that you may drink deeply and be delighted with the abundance and brightness of her glory.
For thus says the Lord: Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream; then you will be nursed, you will be carried on her hip and trotted [lovingly bounced up and down] on her [God’s maternal] knees.
As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
When you see this, your heart shall rejoice; your bones shall flourish like green and tender grass. And the [powerful] hand of the Lord shall be revealed and known to be with His servants, but His indignation [shown] to be against His enemies.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
