The Fountain of Rest

Why are you looking for a well, when I have given you a fountain?

It’s subterranean, it is subversive, it comes from under. It bursts forth for it must be above and not beneath. It lifts the rock, it elevates the ground, even the mountains are raised at the sound of your voice!

The living water bursts forth from within and covers all that is without.

I woke up with this word in my mind replaying over and over “Where is the rest? Where is the rest of it?”

The Lord’s response…..

I am here!

Why are you looking for IT? What is it? What is the IT that you seek? I am fullness, I am presence. I am present. Am I not the present that you seek?

Are you restless? Are you feeling the less, when I want you to feel my rest?

Leave the rest to me and experience my rest to the full.

Why search for the piece that is missing, when you can have my peace?

Why search for that which is lacking, when even in the presence of the enemy there is my overflow!

I am more than enough. Seek me and find fullness! Stop looking for that which is missing when you have already found me. In me is completeness. In me is wholeness. In me there is no lack!

Psalms 16:5-11 The Lord is my chosen and assigned portion, my cup; You hold and maintain my lot. The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; yes, I have a good heritage. I will bless the Lord, Who has given me counsel; yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons. I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my inner self] rejoices; my body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety, For You will not abandon me to Sheol (the place of the dead), neither will You suffer Your holy one [Holy One] to see corruption. You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.
