The Clearing

In the place of the clearing.

In the place of clarity.

In the place of the clearing.

In the place where it will become clear.

In the place of the clearing.

In the place of emptiness.

In the place where you can find nothing familiar.

In the place of clarity.

In the place of the missing.

In the place where you miss yourself.

In the absence of.

In the presence of.

In the moving out.

In the moving in.

I am moved.

In the place of movement.

In the place of the clearing out.

In the place of readiness.

In the place of preparation.

In the land of readiness.

In the place of readiness.

For it is not as it seems to you.

It looks empty, lifeless, barren, incapable of growth, absent of life, the very description of lack.
In the dust storm, in the whirlwind, in the place of the sucking, in the place that sucks, like a vacuum cleaner sucking up all the dust and the dirt.

In the place of the clearing.

In the place of the cleaning.

In the place of emptiness.

In the place of the clearing.

In the vastness of the clearing.

No life as far as your eye can see.

You think this is the barren place, the empty place, the lifeless place, the place of abject lack.

Yet look again.

Look again.

Look again.

See again.

Open your eyes again.

For I am refreshing your sight.

I am bringing clarity to your sight.

I am in your sight to bring insight.

What is it you see?

The lush green pasture, with many paths to abundance.

And what is the point of contrast?

That which I consider barren, is actually teaming with life.

It is in the substance.

It is in the soil.

It is in that which covers.

It is in the ground cover.

It is in that which you place your foot upon.

Upon the ground of my word.

Step upon the ground of my word.

Nevertheless upon the ground of your word, I will lay down the net.

For in the laying down of your net, my fullness arrives.

In the place of the laying down, my fullness arrives.

For I am filling up that which you lay down.

For is not the net the means to collect my fullness?

For when you lay down what you have into the fullness of my flow, you will receive my fullness.

For that which was absent, is now present, it is my present to you, and it now becomes your present.

For your present shall overwhelm your past.

For that which is present shall overtake your past.

For what is it you remember now?

The clearing away the weeds in the soil, making room upon which to sow the seed. As my hand moves away the last root and establishes a clearing, your hand places a big box of ripe fruit in the place I had prepared for the seed.

As you lay aside.

As you push aside the pain of the past, the present arrives.

For the winter is over and gone and the springtime has come.

You go looking for the blossoms trying to find evidence of what is to come, and yet I am true to my word. THE SEASON HAS CHANGED!

Chains are breaking, saints are praising.

Did Isaac go out looking for abundance in the time of the famine?

No Lord, he brought your abundance into the place of lack.

Can you not feel right now, what I have placed in you?

Your strength overwhelms my weakness, for my body no longer lacks strength, it lacks weakness.

The time of reversal is here.

The time of exchange is here.

Did I not promise NEW FOR OLD replacement!

For I have birthed that which is new within your very bones.

Isaiah 58:11-12,14
And the Lord shall guide you continually and satisfy you in drought and in dry places and make strong your bones. And you shall be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters fail not.
And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of [buildings that have laid waste for] many generations; and you shall be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.
Then will you delight yourself in the Lord, and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth, and I will feed you with the heritage [promised for you] of Jacob your father; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.

Trust you Lord to go all the way back to the start of this adventure. To the first word you gave to me in what was such a weird experience for me. A time where you demonstrated how real you are, and how much power you had put within me. And now I find myself literally with the strong bones you foretold so long ago! You mess me up Lord!
If I am now living with evidence each day of your strength within my bones, how can I not also believe that you will more than satisfy in drought and in dry places?

And now what unfolds before your eyes?

I see vast cities being built in places previously uninhabited, a new community arising in a day before my eyes.

So what is the first step for the one called Repairer of the breach?

I see you Lord pouring out from your fullness into the giant gaps and fissures in the land, repairing the cracks, and smoothing and levelling the ground before me.

And what vision best describes the Restorer of Streets to Dwell in?

I see a vision of myself sweeping away the rubble, the roadblocks, and clearing the path, filling the potholes, and then in a moment, an instant houses being built all around.

For my love is not far from you, my love holds your hand!

For you shall know what it is like to be fulfilled.

For the one who carries my fullness cares not for how fertile the land is.

For you shall be like Isaac, for my favour rests upon you now, my mantle of fullness rests upon you now.

Wherever you walk streams will flow in the barren places, an overflow of my goodness.

For what I have prepared for you arrives before you, my gift to you, in the place of the clearing.

Psalms 18:19:
He brought me forth also into a large place; He was delivering me because He was pleased with me and delighted in me.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
