The Chosen One

The chosen one, the one I chose.

The 1st one, my first choice, the one I chose to be 1st.

The first of her kind, the 1st to be kind, the 1st to put others first.

The pioneering one, the leading one, the first to come up higher.

She operates on a higher plane, it is easy for her to say come up higher, for she is already there.

She occupies the high place, a step above, a place above.

For she does not look down, she is always looking up.

“Let’s go up higher”, she says.

“Let’s take the higher ground”, she says.

When the enemy says to you, come up higher, she is already there.

She is always looking for ways to lift others up.

Yet I chose her to be first, the chosen one, my first choice.

The one chosen from the many, for the many. For the one shall impact many.

They all presented themselves for the position, they all listed off their qualifications for the role, yet I had already chosen her.

I called out to her from the crowd, from the passionate ones, from the talented ones, from the important ones, from the ones with position, with high standing.

“You come up here!” I commanded her to come forward.

1 Samuel 14:11-13 So both of them let the Philistine garrison see them. And the Philistines said, Behold, the Hebrews are coming out of the holes where they have hidden themselves. The garrison men said to Jonathan and his armor-bearer, Come up to us and we will show you a thing. Jonathan said to his armor-bearer, Come up after me, for the Lord has given them into Israel’s hand. Then Jonathan climbed up on his hands and feet, his armor-bearer after him; and the enemy fell before Jonathan, and his armor-bearer killed them after him.

For I know her heart, I know the seed she has sown.

When she speaks, my ears prick up.

I’m keen to hear what she says.

For I have put my words upon her lips.

Hers was a royal birth.

I chose her from the beginning for a place of privilege.

I have given her a privileged position.

Marked from birth, selected from birth, chosen from birth.

You could tell that she was special from birth.

You see it now don’t you?

The royal lace, wrapt around her.

I’ve kept her hidden, but the time of her coronation is here.

From the pit to the palace she will arise.

For I have given her a royal robe, so that all will know that she is my chosen.

What I have planned for her is beyond your wildest hopes and imaginations.

Say to her….

“Majestic”

“My precious”

“My treasure”

For I will place my hand upon what she extends to me.

Esther 5:2-3 And when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, she obtained favor in his sight, and he held out to her the golden scepter that was in his hand. So Esther drew near and touched the tip of the scepter. Then the king said to her, What will you have, Queen Esther? What is your request? It shall be given you, even to the half of the kingdom.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
