The Burning

The Burning

For this is the time of the burning.

The burning desire.

The desire to burn.

For my fire rages within and soon without.

At first within and then without.

The falling of the fire.

The proclamation of fire.

The anointing of fire.

The sparking.

The sparking of fire.

The igniting of fire.

The proclamation of fire.

The announcement of fire.

The inciting of fire.

The great burning.

The pillar of fire.

Drawn to the heat, the intense heat, to that which burns.

Be consumed with that which is not consumed.

Say unto to them. “Come a little closer, take me a little deeper, I want to know you more.”

The one drawn to the fire is my chosen one.

The one thrown into the fire is my promoted one.

Let’s go for a walk in the fire.

Everyone proclaims “let your fire fall”, but you have felt the burning, the intense burning, like holding lava in your hands.

You feel me.

Yes you feel me.

It is time.

It is time to go to another level.

For my fire will fall.

I’m cracking up.

You crack me up.

For I know what you are thinking.

You sit and ponder how safe this will be. For you want to avoid the pain, any more pain, you have had enough pain. For you know the pain of the burning, the intensity of the burning.

Like a fire shut up in my bones Jeremiah 20:9 If I say, I will not make mention of [the Lord] or speak any more in His name, in my mind and heart it is as if there were a burning fire shut up in my bones. And I am weary of enduring and holding it in; I cannot [contain it any longer].

The fire of my love shall burn brightly upon you.

Song of Songs 8:6-7 Hang my locket around your neck, wear my ring on your finger. Love is invincible facing danger and death. Passion laughs at the terrors of hell. The fire of love stops at nothing— it sweeps everything before it. Flood waters can’t drown love, torrents of rain can’t put it out. Love can’t be bought, love can’t be sold—it’s not to be found in the marketplace.

My love is the antidote to fear.

My love consumes all fear.

The fire of my love shall be all consuming.

The passion of my heart, shall be all consuming.

This fire cannot be put out.

For I have placed my fire within you.

Release my fire.

For through you I will burn down the enemies camp.

2 Chronicles 7:1-3 WHEN SOLOMON had finished praying, the fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the house. The priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house. And when all the people of Israel saw how the fire came down and the glory of the Lord upon the house, they bowed with their faces upon the pavement and worshiped and praised the Lord, saying, For He is good, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
