The Broken Drain

The Broken Drain

Get ready to rumble.

There is a rumbling in the ground. The ground shakes, it quakes, shaking in anticipation.

The drain has burst. The fountain flows. It laps at your hand. Amidst the darkness all around. You feel the shaking at first, then the flow. Trickling at your fingers. Lapping. Lap it up. Take another lap. One more round.

Look over and see the crack, see the remnants of the break. The breakthrough. The broken drain.

The drain has become a fountain. The opposite result. The expansion from that which contains. The vestibule that contains the flow. Broken to release the flow. No more flow into, but flowing out from.

The reservoir to the resource. From limitation, from containment, to release, to uncontainment, uncontainable, without limit. Their shall be no more limit. No more limited thinking. No more thinking about the restraint, the line that contains.

Jeremiah 20:9-13 If I say, I will not make mention of [the Lord] or speak any more in His name, in my mind and heart it is as if there were a burning fire shut up in my bones. And I am weary of enduring and holding it in; I cannot [contain it any longer]. For I have heard many whispering and defaming, [There is] terror on every side! Denounce him! Let us denounce him! Say all my familiar friends, they who watch for my fall, Perhaps he will be persuaded and deceived; then we will prevail against him, and we will get our revenge on him. But the Lord is with me as a mighty and terrible One; therefore my persecutors will stumble, and they will not overcome [me]. They will be utterly put to shame, for they will not deal wisely or prosper [in their schemes]; their eternal dishonor will never be forgotten. But, O Lord of hosts, You Who try the righteous, Who see the heart and the mind, let me see Your vengeance on them, for to You have I revealed and committed my cause. Sing to the Lord! Praise the Lord! For He has delivered the life of the poor and needy from the hands of evildoers.

Release that which was contained. I want to break free. Break the limit, exceed the boundary, step over the line, cross the line. No boundary, unbounded. Bound over the boundary. No more binding.

A coming together. Place your hands on the broken pieces. Sweep across them without fear. Not scratched. Not a scratch. For you hand is that which restores. Not a paint thinner, but a paint restorer, a surface restorer. A restorer of the ruins.

Take the flow by the edge and give it a shake. Unfurl a ripple. Give it a shake, make a wave, momentum. It rises and falls as you shake it. Be held by it. Take it by the edge. Hold on to the edge. Come up higher. Hold on tight. Do not be disturbed, for I am creating a disturbance. A wave, a tsunami, an exponential impact. One that will disrupt, and push out, and destroy established traditions.

Jeremiah 31:35 Thus says the Lord, Who gives the sun for a light by day and the fixed order of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, Who stirs up the sea’s roaring billows or stills the waves when they roar—the Lord of hosts is His name:

Many will fear, be alarmed, and enter into panic.

Enter the place of panic. They will not know how to cope, their plans will be shattered. They will be shattered. The strong will be disturbed, will have a panic attack.

Deuteronomy 7:23 But the Lord your God will give them over to you and will confuse them with a mighty panic until they are destroyed.

You shall be there to pick them up, to comfort them, to lead from the path, that is broken, to the path I have established for them. Their plan A will become a plan G. The plan of God. I’m swapping their plan for mine.

For the waves do not break upon you, the waves break from you, because of you.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
