The Appointed…

My agenda.

For each item has an appointed time. One item comes before another.

I love to chat. I love the conversation. I love to interact. But make no mistake I am deliberate not accidental.

Habakkuk 2:3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

Behold the opportune time, the time of opportunity, the appointed time, the time I have appointed.

First the attraction, then the impact, then the coming together. The concept, the dream, the desire. The union. The dream of togetherness. The combination. The coming together. You feel it don’t you, for it is your desire. You see it, you see her, for she is your desire. You long for her, to be near, to be close.

You conceive it, you dream it, you come together. But from unity, from union, comes my blessing. For I command it. From union comes division, unified division, multiplied multiplication, expansion, growth. Not one but many. Multiplied multiples.

Have you not noticed, have you not seen. You look for the one, you expect the one, you hope for the one, but I gave you 2, I give you two. I give you more than enough, more than one.

When I conceive, when I bring the two into one. It is not to diminish, not to reduce, not to contract. But from contraction comes expansion, from conception comes birth.

Mark 10:6-9 But from the beginning of creation God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave [behind] his father and his motherand bejoined to his wife and cleave closely to her permanently, And the two shall become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has united (joined together), let not man separate or divide.

Behold there is a due date. What is conceived will be birthed. There is an appointed time. For you know the time. You expect a child, you plan for it, you hope for it. But you know the appointed time only when the water breaks. From the break, comes forth the birth. At the break it is time to push, to push through, to break through.

From that which is born shall come deliverance. You shall hold each for a moment then hand them off to be cared for by the nurse. Your child but cared for by another. For you shall bring fullness to the desolate place. No longer empty but full. No longer desolate but inhabited. No longer two but many. You will learn to love again the crowds. For they shall not be strangers but family, your clan, your household.

Do you not see, have you not heard? Not a workplace, not employees, but a household. A house that holds. A place of gathering, a place of the gathering, a place where the lost are found. A place of restoration. The birthplace! Put it on their birth certificate, not an employment contract, not an offer, but an acceptance. A place of acceptance!

Galatians 6:9-10 And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint. So then, as occasion and opportunity open up to us, let us do good [morally] to all people [not onlybeing useful or profitable to them, but also doing what is for their spiritual good and advantage]. Be mindful to be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith [those who belong to God’s family with you, the believers].
