What is it you wrestle with?

What is this thing?

You struggle to get a grip on it, you wrestle with it, to grasp it.

I’m so tired of it. I’m torn. I want to hold on to it with all my might, and yet the pain of it rises within me.

Take my hand and let go of it! Just let go! Release it, cast it adrift, lest you be carried away by it. Hold on to me. If you want to wrestle with something wrestle with me, not with it.

I’m stepping in, this is an intervention order. I’m making an intervention order. I’m intervening. You have no right. Step aside from the dominion of darkness and take up your position, take up you new domain. The domain of the promise, the promised domain.

2 Timothy 4:6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. She vowed, saying, O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your handmaid and [earnestly] remember, and not forget Your handmaid but will give me a son, I will give him to the Lord all his life; no razor shall touch his head. And as she continued praying before the Lord, Eli noticed her mouth. Hannah was speaking in her heart; only her lips moved but her voice was not heard. So Eli thought she was drunk. Eli said to her, How long will you be intoxicated? Put wine away from you. But Hannah answered, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but I was pouring out my soul before the Lord. Regard not your handmaid as a wicked woman; for out of my great complaint and bitter provocation I have been speaking. Then Eli said, Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him. Hannah said, Let your handmaid find grace in your sight. So [she] went her way and ate, her countenance no longer sad.

2 Chronicles 20:17 You shall not need to fight in this battle; take your positions, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord [Who is] with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Fear not nor be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.
