Take Possession

Take Possession

Come Lord, come with breakthrough.

“Give me a break” you cry.

Come with strength again. Come with faith again. Breakthrough.

For I have given you a break to go with your through.

I feel it in my bones you are about to move.

What does a break look like for you, describe it for me.

Absence of pain. Absence of loss. Absence of theft.

Did I not say that the past is passed?

You go looking for it, but cannot find it.

You prepare for the presence, yet find it absent.

You feel the intensity of the loss, in every activity.

You go to close the door.

You go to put away the chicken.

You go to check the laundry.

You go looking for him, but he is gone.

You go looking for him, but he is no where to be found.

You feel the loss, yet struggle to embrace the gain.

You want to embrace that which cannot be grasped.

Yet you must take hold of that which remains.

Here, take hold.

For my hand is outstretched towards you.

Just give it to me.

Really just give it to me.

For the past has passed.

For the past has passed.

For the past has passed.

The pain is over.

The pain is over.

The pain is over.

That which is gone, shall not return.

For the past has left you.

Yet I have not abandoned you.

I am here for you.

Just feel my presence in the place of absence.

Just reach out to me.

Receive your breakthrough

Close your eyes and reach out your hands.

For something much greater is coming.

You are giving us new memories.

You want to prepare for the worst, yet I want you to prepare for the best.

For you know how the story ends.

In the valley, then at the table I have prepared.

I have prepared that which is to come for you.

It is the work of my hands. My handiwork. My hands at work. Look for my hands at work. Expect me to have done the work.

Look out.

Un expect.

For it shall be unexpected.

Anticipate a springing forth.

Anticipate the harvest.

Prepare for the harvest.

Get ready to harvest.

Take up a harvesting position.

“Harvesters wanted” put up the sign, for it shall be a sign.

In the place of lack, abundance.

Imagine abundance, get ready for abundance, imagine if there was no limit. What would it look like?

Without limit.

Be without limit.

Abandon all notions of a limit.

Prophesy to the dry bones.

Speak to the fragments.

Say rise up.

Shout rise up.

Shout come together.

Speak wholeness.

For from the many pieces comes the great peace.

From the seed pod, comes fragments of the pod, from the great explosion comes an abundance of growth.

Tell them how it is.

Show them the way.

Take them on the path.

For I have inclined their ears to hang off every word.

Expect them to follow you.

For the leader shall now have followers.

Unexpected followers.

For I will cause them to follow you.

I will direct their attention, for they shall attend to you.

You pause and wonder what to do.

Yet pause and imagine wonder, have regard for wonder, be full of wonder.

For I have prepared this.

This is the work of my hands.

This is no random act.

For I have turned the tide.

For this is by my direction.

Come and say “follow me”

Come and follow me.

I will show you the way.

For you know the way.

Walk without limitation.

Go out.

Take the next step and I’ll show you the way.

For you know the way to walk.

Be without hesitation.

For “the way” walks with you.

You can be confident in my direction.

Joshua 1:5-11 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you. Be strong (confident) and of good courage, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only you be strong and very courageous, that you may do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success. Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, Pass through the camp and command the people, Prepare your provisions, for within three days you shall pass over this Jordan to go in to take possession of the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
