Take Courage

Take courage….

Grab hold of courage.

Take hold of courage.

Get a grip on courage.

For it is before you, it is beside you, it surrounds you, it circles you. Not as prey, but as master.

Like a wild animal is rages before you. It bears its teeth, it roars up close an personal.

Grab it by the tail. Hold it fast.

Show it strength, show it your strength.

Gaze upon it, stare it down, possess it, take hold of it, caress it, tame it.

But it cannot be tamed. For it is wild at heart. For you know how to handle it. How to hold, when to release, how to discern the need, how to discern the approach.

Genesis 49:8-9 Judah, you are the one whom your brothers shall praise; your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; your father’s sons shall bow down to you. Judah, a lion’s cub! With the prey, my son, you have gone high up the mountain. He stooped down, he crouched like a lion, and like a lioness—who dares provoke and rouse him?

The ignorant, the uninformed will be scratched by this courage, by this animal.

For I am the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

But I respond to your touch. My territory is large. For all know the place that I inhabit. This is my house.

I keep out that which seeks to invade.

For those who oppose shall know your position. Shall know the power you possess. They shall wonder how it came to be that something so powerful, so majestic, so strong could be touched by your hand.

Possess strength, inhabit courage, substitute courage for fear.

For you know I am for you. For you know the comfort in embracing that which is wild.

The strong embrace of that which has no fear. The hug of that which others fear.

For I am without restraint. For I cannot be taught, I am beyond your control and yet I love to be with you.

I love your hugs the most!

Grasp me with both hands, take me in your arms, lift me up, caress me, hold me, for I am yours.

For I am not ordinary, I stand out, my strength is not diminished with age. For I am the rock of ages.

For I look upon you with strength, I do not know what fear is. For courage is the domination of fear, the lordship of fear, the absence of fear in the one who possesses it.

For shall be a knowing. A new knowledge, an epiphany. For there is a knowing. You shall know, you just know.

Know courage, inhabit it, caress it, possess it, take courage.

For there shall be a turning, a new resolve, a new presence, a new perspective.

Take regard for your position, what is it that is beside you.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
