Sure Foundation

What is it you see?

My future self, shaking the hand of my present self, with a broad smile on his face. And he says “I’ve got this!” My present self is at a loss for words, without words, I don’t know what to say!

My word is alert and active and I am watching over it to perform it.

It is hard to see this Lord!

Yet what is it you see?

My elevation! That is the only word that I can see coming to pass right now?

When you don’t know what to say, repeat this after me

“My haven’t I grown”

What is it you see?

The mighty giant prostrate on the ground! What is the point of having such power if you are unable to get up?

“You keep calling me, you keep calling me, closer to your heart”

“And it’s only just the start”

“You keep drawing me”

Arise my son and come away.

Arise from the depressed state, the tired state, the lowly state, the place from whence you have prostrated yourself.

Lift up your eyes and see.

Lift up your eyes and see.

For I want you to shine brighter than the sun!

For my light shines in the darkness and is not overcome by it.

Amidst the darkness my light shines.

Did I not say I would build upon the pinnacle of your achievements?

Yes Lord I have reached the limit of myself. I cannot take another step unless you make a way.

What is it I have shown you my son?

A giant stone flung at me, thrown by a giant. So big it cannot possibly miss me.

Yet look again my son?

It lands under my feet enabling me to make progress.

For this is the stone of establishment.

Upon this stone I shall establish.

For the great stone of rejection shall become my cornerstone.

You know this to be true, but do you believe it?

Psalms 118:22-29 The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This is from the Lord and is His doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day which the Lord has brought about; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, we beseech You, O Lord; send now prosperity, O Lord, we beseech You, and give to us success! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; we bless you from the house of the Lord you who come into His sanctuary under His guardianship. The Lord is God, Who has shown and given us light He has illuminated us with grace, freedom, and joy. Decorate the festival with leafy boughs and bind the sacrifices to be offered with thick cords all over the priest’s court, right up to the horns of the altar. You are my God, and I will confess, praise, and give thanks to You; You are my God, I will extol You. O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

This is the day the Lord has brought about and we will rejoice and be glad in it.

In whose name do you come?

Is it not in the name of the Lord?

Isaiah 28:16 Therefore thus says the Lord God, Behold, I am laying in Zion for a foundation a Stone, a tested Stone, a precious Cornerstone of sure foundation; he who believes (trusts in, relies on, and adheres to that Stone) will not be ashamed or give way or hasten away in sudden panic.

For I am laying a sure foundation for you.

Zechariah 10:3-12 My anger is kindled against the shepherds who are not true shepherds and I will punish the goat leaders, for the Lord of hosts has visited His flock, the house of Judah, and will make them as His beautiful and majestic horse in the battle. Out of him Judah shall come forth the Cornerstone, out of him the tent peg, out of him the battle bow; every ruler shall proceed from him. And they shall be like mighty men treading down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle, and they shall fight because the Lord is with them, and the oppressor’s riders on horses shall be confounded and put to shame. And I will strengthen the house of Judah and I will save the house of Joseph Ephraim. I will bring them back and cause them to dwell securely, for I have mercy, loving-kindness, and compassion for them. They shall be as though I had not cast them off, for I am the Lord their God, and I will hear them. Then Ephraim the ten tribes shall become like a mighty warrior, and their hearts shall rejoice as through wine; yes, their children shall see it and rejoice; their hearts shall feel great delight and glory triumphantly in the Lord! I will hiss for them as the keeper does for his bees and gather them in, for I have redeemed them, and they shall increase again as they have increased before, in Egypt. And though I sow them among the nations, yet they shall earnestly remember Me in far countries, and with their children they shall live and shall return to God and the land He gave them. I will bring them all Israel home again from the land of Egypt and gather them out of Assyria, and I will bring them into the land on the east and on the west of the Jordan, into Gilead and Lebanon, and room enough shall not be found for them. And the Lord will pass through the sea of distress and affliction at the head of His people, as He did at the Red Sea; and He will smite down the waves of the sea, and all the depths of the river Nile shall be dried up and put to shame; and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down and the scepter or rod of the taskmasters of Egypt shall pass away. And I will strengthen Israel in the Lord, and they shall walk up and down and glory in His name, says the Lord.

And the Lord shall pass through the sea of distress and affliction and He will smite down the waves, and the pride of your enemies shall be brought down.

And I will strengthen you and you shall glory in my name.
