Stance

What is the point! I am over it! What is your point! I don’t want to hear it. I am so tired of everyone making their point! I am tired of wrestling with everyone’s plan and point and objective.

HALT, who goes there!

Halt, who goes there?

Stop, who goes there?

No need to tell me to stop, as I am definitely not going anywhere! Wherever I go there is always something in the way! Piles upon piles, heaps upon heaps!

Well you know, for you know well, how that story goes!

Judges 15:12-19 And they said to him, We have come down to bind you, that we may deliver you into the hands of the Philistines. And Samson said to them, Swear to me that you will not fall upon me yourselves. And they said to him, No, we will bind you fast and give you into their hand; but surely we will not kill you. So they bound him with two new ropes and brought him up from the rock. And when he came to Lehi, the Philistines came shouting to meet him. And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon Samson, and the ropes on his arms became as flax that had caught fire, and his bonds melted off his hands. And he found a still moist jawbone of a donkey and reached out and took it and slew 1,000 men with it. And Samson said, With the jawbone of a donkey, heaps upon heaps, with the jawbone of a donkey I have slain 1,000 men! And when he stopped speaking, he cast the jawbone from his hand; and that place was called Ramath-lehi the hill of the jawbone. Samson was very thirsty, and he prayed to the Lord and said, You have given this great deliverance by the hand of Your servant, and now shall I die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised? And God split open the hollow place that was at Lehi, and water came out of it. And when he drank, his spirit returned and he revived. Therefore the name of it was called En-hakkore the spring of him who prayed, which is at Lehi to this day.

For I have called you by name.

For you shall no longer be called ….. but I have given you a new name Legion.

For though a thousand come against you, they shall be defeated.

For I declare that you are stronger than that which comes against you.

This is not a fair fight.

For having done all to stand, now just stand.

Just take your stand.

Just stand here.

For wave upon wave comes against you, yet you shall be left standing.

For I have called you to stand out.

For I shall cause great division amongst them. For they shall be divided each and every time they come against you. Rendered asunder, split in two.

For they consider you of no consequence. Merely a dot on the landscape. They give you not a second thought.

You can picture now can’t you? The thousand coming against the one, expecting an easy victory, total annihilation, extreme dominance. Yet one by one they fall at your side.

Joshua 23:8-11 But cling to the Lord your God as you have done to this day. For the Lord has driven out from before you great and strong nations; and as for you, no man has been able to withstand you to this day. One man of you shall put to flight a thousand, for it is the Lord your God Who fights for you, as He promised you. Be very watchful of yourselves, therefore, to love the Lord your God.

It’s like you have sent out a search party looking for yourself.

You have turned up at lost and found, appeared at the counter that displays a sign “Lost Property”, and ask them “I’m looking for myself, can you have a look behind the counter and see if you can find me?”

Say to yourself “I am found”

You wonder to yourself, what is the point, how do I define the point. You say to yourself “there is no point”

You have spoken correctly, that the point is absent.

Yet I say to you “be present”

Just be present.

For your presence is the point.

Skill is not the point.

Intelligence is not the point.

Capacity is not the point.

Alignment is the point.

Just stand your ground and watch me make the point.

For my point shall be revealed.

For my point shall prevail.

For my point shall be unveiled.

2 Samuel 23:11-12 Next to Eleazar was Shammah son of Agee the Hararite. The Philistines were gathered at Lehi on a piece of ground full of lentils; and the Israelites fled from the Philistines. But he stood in the midst of the ground and defended it and slew the Philistines; and the Lord wrought a great victory. Jeremiah 1:17-19 But you Jeremiah, gird up your loins! Arise and tell them all that I command you. Do not be dismayed and break down at the sight of their faces, lest I confound you before them and permit you to be overcome. For I, behold, I have made you this day a fortified city and an iron pillar and bronze walls against the whole land—against the successive kings of Judah, against its princes, against its priests, and against the people of the land giving you divine strength which no hostile power can overcome. And they shall fight against you, but they shall not finally prevail against you, for I am with you, says the Lord, to deliver you.
