Something New

As the sparks fly upwards.

A new instrument.

And cut through and set right.

The instrument that cuts through and sets right.

Be crafty not crafty.

Something new.

They saw dust, but you see evidence of cutting.

The small, the insignificant, evidence of great significance.

The instrument of cutting, crafted by me.

Crafted for craftwork, for a craftsman.

At first the raw materials. One cut from another.

Then the gliding through. Apply the grease to glide through. That which is slippery makes way for that which is pushed to cut through.

Apply the oil of cutting, the cutting oil. Then cut through and set right.

Sculpt it, craft it, mould it, make it, shape it.

Different sizes, different shapes, but to be assembled. Some assembly required.

An instrument of building. The means to extend.

I’m extending you. My hand upon your hand. Push and withdraw, glide in and out. Let the instrument do the work.

For my anointing flows.

Feel it now. All encompassing, covering all, wrapping all.

A new suit. Like armour it covers. But unrestrained, uninhibited, no restricted movement. Free flowing.

See it flowing. The covering that flows, the covering that impacts, covering that protects, covering that brings strength. Like iron, a mesh, interwoven, strong connections. Threads of iron. Strength of iron. Holding all things together.

Yet how does it feel?

As the suitor asks… how does it feel? Is it a good fit? Is it comfortable? Is there anything that sags?

You know the answer Lord!

For this suit covers all, purpose built.

It flows over you like a gentle wave. Like a gentle shower, like a refreshing stream.

This is no ordinary suit, this is no clunky covering, this is a state of the art suit.

Tailor made for you. But no ordinary material, no ordinary covering. The covering of the flow, so that you would go with my flow.

Fit for purpose. You are fit for purpose. This fitting is for your purpose. This fitting enables your purpose.

For what is the soldier without his uniform?

But this covering is not that you might conform, this is so that you might be united, a form united, and united form, a uniform.

Represent my flow, flow that uplifts, that impacts, that breaks through, that over flows, that flows over.

Like a water fall. The weight of the flow, breaks that which is underneath. For the ground moves beneath, revealing my flow. All shall come to see the pinnacle of the flow. The place of the fall. The place of the ground fall, the place of the break through. For that which flows shall be seen on high, high and lifted up.

You expect to fall, you go to see the place where the waterfalls. But this is not where the water falls, it is the place where the flow is elevated, where the flow is revealed.

See now the place of breakthrough. You see the ground tremble at your feet. For that which contains the flow, shall break….

Feel the spray, feel the impact, experience it.

Like the surf propelling you to the shore, go with my flow.

Yet look again…

The flow shall break through. The wall shattered in pieces all around. Brokenness all around, many gaps, the multiple of gaps, many rough edges.

Feel my abundance, feel the swell of the flow, for it shall be swell.

Every gap filled, every rough edge made smooth.

For the flow bursts forth all around you, all over you, refreshing streams of water in the dry place.

Be not overwhelmed, rise above the flow, for I have you covered.

This is your suit, this is your covering, this is my anointing that flows.

Be refreshed, be restored, be whole, bring wholeness.

You brace yourself before the enemy, you prepare for war, your hand is clenched at the ready, in readiness to be impacted.

And yet, my flow comes, poured out upon you. Unexpected, unprepared, surprised, startled, in shock.

Refreshed, enveloped, covered, no where to go, for you shall receive my flow.

You sit there in wonder, the flow covering your eyes, at first uncomfortable, agitated. But then my hand is upon you, hear my voice, do not fear, just relax.

For I have chosen you, I have anointed you, I have appointed you, restored restoration, the one who flows, the one who brings the flow, the one who transforms the dry, the one who establishes a way.

Craft the path, direct the path and I shall establish the flow. Go with my flow.

And cut through and set right, establish the way, walk in my way.

Hebrews 12:12-15 So then, brace up and reinvigorate and set right your slackened and weakened and drooping hands and strengthen your feeble and palsied and tottering knees, And cut through and make firm and plain and smooth, straight paths for your feet yes, make them safe and upright and happy paths that go in the right direction, so that the lame and halting limbs may not be put out of joint, but rather may be cured. Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration and holiness without which no one will ever see the Lord. Exercise foresight and be on the watch to look after one another, to see that no one falls back from and fails to secure God’s grace (His unmerited favor and spiritual blessing), in order that no root of resentment (rancor, bitterness, or hatred) shoots forth and causes trouble and bitter torment, and the many become contaminated and defiled by it—
