The imprint of the light upon the darkness .

The fall of light upon the darkness.

The distinction, the difference, the contrast.

The line drawn.

The shape of glory.

The glorious shape

The light falling down from above.

The sun shining, the sun rising.

The shadow defined by the movement of the light.

Psalms 39:6-7 Surely every man walks to and fro—like a shadow in a pantomime; surely for futility and emptiness he is in turmoil; each one heaps up riches, not knowing who will gather them. And now, Lord, what do I wait for and expect? My hope and expectation are in You.

The shadow defined by the movement of the obstacle.

What rests between you and the light?

What is it that stands before you?

When you gaze upon my glorious light what is it you see?

The intense brightness of your glory.

When the shadow is cast, how is it defined?

Not by darkness, but by the light. The shape of the darkness defined by the brightness of the light

The shadow not defined by darkness, but by the presence of the light.

For the light shines upon you, my glory shines upon you.

Your shape, your shadow defined by the presence of the light.

For without light there is no contrast.

You observe the shadows, you give regard to the shadows, you feel like a shadow of your former self.

You look upon the shadow and see the contrast between the darkness and the light..

You look to the light and see my glory, you look to the shadow and see the darkness defined by the light. The shape of which stands in the light casting the shadow in the dark.

Yet life is defined not by the shadow of that which was, but by the presence of my glory and that which stands in the place of glory.

You look upon the shadow, and see that which is dull and lifeless, colourless, without life. The movement of the shape, the shape of movement, yet no life.

For in me there is no shadow of turning.

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all that gives light, in the shining of Whom there can be no variation rising or setting or shadow cast by His turning as in an eclipse.

For my glory shines, can anything get in the way of my glory?

Who created that which stands in the presence of glory?

For who defines the shape of things to come?

Who fashioned your legs for movement?

Who brought you to life?

For there is no power in the shadow, only power in the presence of glory.

Numbers 14:8-9 If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land flowing with milk and honey. Only do not rebel against the Lord, neither fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their defense and the shadow of protection is removed from over them, but the Lord is with us. Fear them not.

Upon you has the light shined..

I am shining my light upon you…

Isaiah 9:2-3 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great Light; those who dwelt in the land of intense darkness and the shadow of death, upon them has the Light shined. You O Lord have multiplied the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before You like the joy in harvest, as men rejoice when they divide the spoil of battle.

I am your protective shade….

Psalms 121 A song for pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem. I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.
