Settled

Fresh wind.

Fresh fire.

Can you feel it?

Can you see it?

For here comes.

For here comes….

For here comes a fresh breath….

For here comes something fresh.

For here comes a fresh wind.

Upon the barren place….

Upon the desert place….

Upon the desolate place….

Comes a fresh wind.

A new climate.

A shift in the atmosphere.

A wind change.

A pressure change.

Look out.

See.

Look out and see.

What is it you see?

The wind blowing in the desert, the movement defined by the dust that blows.

Look again what is it you see?

The mist in the midst. The forming of the mist in the midst.

Close your eyes, what is it you feel?

The gentle breeze upon my face. The change of moisture, from dry to wet, announcing that which is to come.

So what is it that you want to say?

I think it is about to rain.

For what is it that causes the landscape to change?

The change in atmosphere. A new climate.

What is it you see?

The rain clouds forming above the desert ground.

For the rain falls across the land.

For the rain falls across the land.

For the rain falls across the land.

For the rain falls across the land.

For the rain falls across the land.

From whence does the growth come?

For you saw it with your own eyes, the greenest grass, in the driest place.

From whence came the seed, for the grass to grow?

Who caused the land to become fertile?

Who created the seed?

Who caused the seed to be sown?

Nevertheless at your word. Nevertheless upon the ground of your word. Hosea 10:12 Sow for yourselves according to righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God); reap according to mercy and loving-kindness. Break up your uncultivated ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, to inquire for and of Him, and to require His favor, till He comes and teaches you righteousness and rains His righteous gift of salvation upon you.

For now is the time of your establishment.

Now is the time of your settlement.

I have settled it.

I have done my own clearing out.

I told them to clear out.

I showed them the door.

Then I closed it behind them.

What is that you saw, what was it that woke you up last night?

A vision of you Lord, sweeping out the storehouse, the warehouse.

What is it you heard? What was the soundtrack?

The sound of a big truck starting up.

Did I not say that after, that after, that after a little while…..

1 Peter 5:7-11 Casting thewhole of your care all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about youwatchfully. Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring in fierce hunger, seeking someone to seize upon and devour. Withstand him; be firm in faith against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined, knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace Who imparts all blessing and favor, Who has called you to His own eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the dominion (power, authority, rule) forever and ever. Amen (so be it).

So you see.

So you see.

Now you see that it is so.

The establishment of your faith, leads to the establishment of you.

The immovable faith, leads to that which cannot be moved.

The firmness of your faith, leads to the establishment of the firm.

For that which the devil sought to wash away, has been securely grounded.

For the seed shall bear fruit, look out for the abundant harvest.

For you feel it in your bones, the subsidence, the falling off, the drop, the reduction of pressure, the tapering.

For I have removed that which was overwhelming, for now is the time of settlement, the time of establishment.

When the waters subside, the plant will spring up.

Song of Songs 2:11-12 For, behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
