Can there be growth in the flow?
For the flow is clear above the muddied water.
For the seed grows best in the mud.
For the flow provides the environment for growth.
The mud nurtures the seed.
Isaiah 32:20 Happy and fortunate are you who cast your seed upon all waters when the river overflows its banks; for the seed will sink into the mud and when the waters subside, the plant will spring up; you will find it after many days and reap an abundant harvest, you who safely send forth the ox and the donkey to range freely.
Look out. Look out. Just look out. Look beyond. Gaze upon the horizon.
What is it you see?
The abundant multitude of habitation.
Rehabilitation. Rehabitation. Beyond habitation.
Possess the desolate place. Inhabit. Take possession.
The multitudes streaming in, the multitudes streaming in. What a rush. It shall be such a rush.
Not a rush, but a rush. Exhilarating.
The removal of the hill. The harrowing of the mountain. Not harrowing but a flattening of that which comes against. A way made where there was no way.
It looks like the many fleeing before you, like ants disturbed.
And yet, and yet, look again.
For they respond to your command. Not runaways but run towards. For they run not from but run towards. For you shall experience my run off, if you don’t run off.
For they run to take possession of what I have prepared for them. Like the green fields. Not a land grab, but a new settlement.
For I have stated my claim. I have staked my claim. I have made my claim. This land is mine.
For the dispossessed shall soon possess. Those without shall be called within. Those absent shall be called present. Those “at a loss” shall be called rich.
For for I am swapping loss for gain. I am reclaiming that which was always mine.
For the desolate place shall be filled. The desert ground like a lush green pasture. This is my old for new replacement. I am swapping out the old. I’m doing an exchange.
“Let there be a divine exchange.”
For the old shall become new in your hand. One moment you shall look upon the old, in an instant you shall look again and see the new.
Not the “same old, same old”, but the same new, same new. Not broken restored, not rusty but polished, not what you expect but more than you expect.
And you shall know and recognise, and you shall know and recognise.
You will recognise but you will be surprised. For you expect the same old, but this is the same new.
Jeremiah 18:2-6 Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words. Then I went down to the potter’s house, and behold, he was working at the wheel. And the vessel that he was making from clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he made it over, reworking it into another vessel as it seemed good to the potter to make it. Then the word of the Lord came to me: O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does? says the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel.
