Ruined

Ruined

Don’t come to me and say “I’m ruined!”

Here take a piece of me.

Be whole.

Come together.

For I have a piece for every missing piece.

Joy for mourning.

Beauty for ashes

New piece for your pieces

New for old.

Did you think that which was ruined is material to me?

Do you think that which was ruined was just material to me?

You go searching for the broken pieces. Yet that which is ruined stands before you.

The battered.

The bruised.

The broken.

The poor.

The needy.

The impoverished.

The destitute.

The derelict.

The downtrodden.

The bloodied.

They present themselves to you.

For this is your present.

This is your territory.

I have chosen them for you.

Say unto them.

Be healed.

Be restored.

Be bold.

Be strong.

Be healthy.

Be forgiven.

Be more.

Be not less, be more.

For you are chosen, you are appointed.

For I have given you a royal robe.

A different covering.

For you shall look so different to them.

When they look upon you they shall be refreshed.

Rest your hand upon them and see what I shall do.

Bring together the ruins. One with another.

So them the way.

Piece by piece you shall have peace.

Splash them with colour.

Put a medal on them.

Given them a make over.

For those unable to get up, say arise.

For those without strength say “be strong”

Here have my strength.

For one shall give their piece to another.

Bring wholeness.

Leave the whole thing to me.

Rest your hand upon them.

To the one with the torn clothes I shall give them a new coat.

The rough one shall become a huge man with a club

The puny one a general.

The insecure one dressed in black and white.

New levels of restoration.

My handiwork in your hand.

For you shall be the restorer of ancient ruins, the repairer of the breach.

This is your calling.

For I have called you out from your seclusion.

This is your coming out party.

This is your appointed time.

The time of your appointment.

Receive that which I have given you.

Release that which I have placed in your hand.

For my call resounds across the land. Calling to you. You calling back to me. This is the way walk in it.

Isaiah 58:8-14 Then shall your light break forth like the morning, and your healing (your restoration and the power of a new life) shall spring forth speedily; your righteousness (your rightness, your justice, and your right relationship with God) shall go before you [conducting you to peace and prosperity], and the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, Here I am. If you take away from your midst yokes of oppression [wherever you find them], the finger pointed in scorn [toward the oppressed or the godly], and every form of false, harsh, unjust, and wicked speaking, And if you pour out that with which you sustain your own life for the hungry and satisfy the need of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in darkness, and your obscurity and gloom become like the noonday. And the Lord shall guide you continually and satisfy you in drought and in dry places and make strong your bones. And you shall be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters fail not. And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of [buildings that have laid waste for] many generations; and you shall be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Streets to Dwell In. If you turn away your foot from [traveling unduly on] the Sabbath, from doing your own pleasure on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a [spiritual] delight, the holy day of the Lord honorable, and honor Him and it, not going your own way or seeking or finding your own pleasure or speaking with your own [idle] words, Then will you delight yourself in the Lord, and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth, and I will feed you with the heritage [promised for you] of Jacob your father; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
