Reversal
Restoration in the place of desolation.
For I will not leave you desolate.
A substitution….
Fullness instead of lack.
I have told the enemy to back up. I said back up! Back away. A shift. Put it in reverse!
Accelerated reversal.
A reversal of fortune.
A reversal of captivity.
A role reversal.
A lack reversal.
A fountain in the place of the drain.
Jeremiah 33:11-12 There shall be heard again the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voices of those who sing as they bring sacrifices of thanksgiving into the house of the Lord, Give praise and thanks to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good; for His mercy and kindness and steadfast love endure forever! For I will cause the captivity of the land to be reversed and return to be as it was at first, says the Lord. Thus says the Lord of hosts: In this place which is desolate, without man and without beast, and in all its cities, there shall again be dwellings and pastures of shepherds resting their flocks.
You wait until you see what I have done with with the off cuts, the left overs!
The ones left over, the ones put to one side.
The ones cut off. The ones cut off from their destination.
For the enemy scatters….
Yet I build!
For everything is just a building block for me.
Every block is a point of elevation.
It is the place of the rising, the uprising, the literal rising up, the building.
Hebrews 3:3-6 Yet Jesus has been considered worthy of much greater honor and glory than Moses, just as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself. For of course every house is built and furnished by someone, but the Builder of all things and the Furnisher of the entire equipment of all things is God. And Moses certainly was faithful in the administration of all God’s house but it was only as a ministering servant. In his entire ministry he was but a testimony to the things which were to be spoken the revelations to be given afterward in Christ. But Christ (the Messiah) was faithful over His own Father’s house as a Son and Master of it. And it is we who are now members of this house, if we hold fast and firm to the end our joyful and exultant confidence and sense of triumph in our hope in Christ.
And now for something different….
You asked for something different.
Here, let me show you around.
Let me be your butler.
Let me show you your new place.
How does it look?
The marble floors, the glass walls, the place where no expense has been spared.
Do you like the door trims, a bit different from the old mission brown?!
You can touch them if you like, for here everything that glistens is gold!
No feel it, see it, it is yours.
Do you like the entrance, for I made it especially for you!
Would you like to see your corner office? It has the best view!
And what would this place be without the flow?
Do you like the water feature, I made it to glisten and sparkle in the sun?
What does it remind you of?
Amadeus! The place where no expense was spared! The place designed to showcase all that they had accomplished. The one that got away. The one that should have been ours!
Well I am taking you back, I am taking you aback, did I not say you shall be staggered?
For it time to showcase all that I have built!
For I love working with the broken pieces, the left overs, the off cuts.
“The waiting is over, it’s just getting started”
For I have shown my hand, I have revealed my hand, now my handiwork. Now the work of my hands.
“This time it is supernatural.”
For the work of man, is of no comparison to the work of my hands.
For the building is now complete, let me show you around.
Zechariah 8:9 Thus says the Lord of hosts: Let your hands be strong and hardened, you who in these days hear these words from the mouths of the prophets who on the day that the foundation of the house of the Lord of hosts was laid foretold that the temple should be rebuilt.
No seriously, let’s go for a tour, can I show you around? For I have made this just for you! A place to showcase my work.
Accelerated reversal. For the captive shall rule.
Let me say that again. The captive shall rule!
The prisoner, now the prince. The lowest elevated to the highest place.
For I have reserved this place for you!
It is time to return to the beginning, to take your rightful place.
For you have been faithful with the small, now receive the large!
Luke 19:17 And he said to him, Well done, excellent bond servant! Because you have been faithful and trustworthy in a very little thing, you shall have authority over ten cities.
