Restored

From the old shall come the new.

Let’s start with the evidence, the evidence of the old, the old evidence, the proof of the old.

Let’s start with the discard. Let’s start with that which is dis regarded. Let’s start with that which has no regard.

That which is certainly passed, that which is overlooked. That is what shall surpass.

Let’s not clear away the cobwebs. Let’s transform them from that which is of no use to that which is of greatest use. From the web shall come the silk. From the tattered and torn shall come new material.

Let’s have a yarn about the new yarn.

For I am making something out of nothing.

That which grew upon the broken, that which held the broken up, that which was held up, that which was placed under arrest, has now been released.

For the demolition crew shall come to demolish, but I am not done with this place. I’ll let you know when I’m done.

For this place has been determined, the course of this place has been determined by me and me alone. No human decree shall come against my plan.

For this is the house of transformation, the place of restoration, the means of expansion, of extension, of establishment.

For I have called this place the establishment, the established way, the established coming and going.

For I have set your feet upon this rock. What I have set, what I have made, I have determined the timing, the setting, the settling. Just be settled. In the absence of a decree, I have made this one myself. I am certain of this. My plan is set in stone, is engraved upon my heart and yours.

For I have made this settlement, I have settled upon this. This is my promise.

1 Peter 5:7-10 Casting the whole of your care all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about youwatchfully. Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring in fierce hunger, seeking someone to seize upon and devour. Withstand him; be firm in faith against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined, knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace Who imparts all blessing and favor, Who has called you to His own eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you.

Expect radical restoration, expect to be astounded, to be astonished.

You think that first you need to clear out the old, so as to prepare for the new. But that season is over. I’m now giving you the power to restore the old and make it better than the new.

For you go to remove the skeletons, to get rid of the old defeated evidence, the evidence of defeat.

Yet what do you see?

I see the old cobwebs forming and gathering old materials, knitting new clothes around the dead dry bones. As I pause and wonder what you are up to Lord. The colour comes to the pale dead bones, flesh is formed, clothed a huge army, armed and ready for battle

Unexpected colour, beyond your expectation.

Evidence of multiplication, multiplied multitudes. And yet what was most desired?

The pristine, vintage, the first and best example of that which was to come.

You mean the Forerunner………

Is anything too hard for me?

Is anything beyond redemption?

Is there anything that I cannot make better than new?

From that which you have abandoned shall come your greatest blessing.

Evidence of my handiwork, my hand at work.

From the place of your greatest defeat shall come your greatest victory.

Let it be unto us as you have said. In the name of Jesus.

In the place of disappointment a fresh appointment.

In the place of pain, much gain.

In the place of the stolen, abundant abundance, multiplied gifts.

In the place of despair, great repair.

Don’t you see my hands at work?

For blessed is the man who perseveres. Is this not my promise to you?

Now receive your blessing…..

James 1:25 But he who looks carefully into the faultless law, the law of liberty, and is faithful to it and perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer who obeys, he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience).

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
