Recovery

Recovery

The passing of that which was lost.

For you have exchanged the gain for the loss.

Now I will exchange the loss for the gain.

The passing of that which was past.

I just want to be here with you… Oh the glory of your presence, what more could I ask for?

You instructed them to express themselves yet you struggle to do the same…

Who told you to contain yourself?

Who told you to keep it together?

Is that not my job?

Am I not the one who holds it all together?

I proclaimed, I declared, I spoke, I commanded release. Be released.

Be uncontained.

Be without containment.

For I have not put you in confinement.

I have not locked you down, I have released you.

Do you really think that holding back your tears will help?

Am I not the one who counts your tears?

Your tears count, your tears matter to me.

Yet I know the ones you have kept to yourself, I know the ones you have held back. Like a dam ready to burst.

What does endurance look like to you?

For my endurance is full of hope.

Hope that does not disappoint.

Jesus your presence is the comfort of my soul. I just want to be here with you…

In the time of the waiting.

In the time of the weighting.

In each moment.

In each delay.

You picked up the weight.

Yet now is the time to lay it all down.

Yes lay it all down.

Just put it down.

Put down the put downs.

Reject the rejections.

Pick up the broken pieces.

Just give me the broken pieces.

Just gather up the fragments.

So that nothing will be lost or wasted.

For you the fragment represents loss.

For you would rather leave it behind.

For you would rather dispose of it.

In this time of the clearing.

In this time of the clearing out.

In this time of the outs.

In this time you shall be out.

For I have pulled you out.

It is my hand upon you.

In the place of the pulling.

For this is the season of the pulling.

For I am drawing all things together.

You see it again now.

A flashback.

A flash forward.

The cobwebs resting upon the old, worn out fragments of that which was broken, that which was discarded, that which was left behind.

Yet these cobwebs are merely draw strings, my instruments of the drawing, the means of drawing, the means of gathering, the means of rebuilding, the means of glory, the mechanisms of glory, the instruments of my glory.

You once said to your son, “stop crying, if you stop crying, you might find that I have the answer, I might have something for you. Stop crying and start asking, what do you want to ask me for.” For in your hand you had something so much better than the broken toy he held in his hand.

Now I say the same to you…

What will you ask me for?

The tremors to stop, the shaking to stop, the spasms to stop, the wave upon wave to stop, the continuous pain to stop, the mist of peace to invade.

Are you not my threshing instrument?

Are you not the means by which I will flatten the mountains?

For you must place your hand upon the boundary.

You must rest your hand upon the pillars.

You must break the chains.

You must release my power.

For through you I intend to make waves.

For through you I intend to agitate the enemy.

You try so hard to hold me in, now rather just let go.

Don’t get a grip.

Don’t hold back for you won’t be embarrassed.

For I intend to embarrass, I intend to embarrass all who stand against you.

I will make a spectacle of them.

What they consider powerful, will in fact be their greatest weakness.

I feel it breaking out.

Take the one who is the breaker by the hand, and rest your hands upon the boundary.

For I have broken through.

For I have broken through, the broken ness is a sign of break through.

It is time to stop hiding my power.

It is time to expose yourself.

It is time to reveal me.

For now is the time of great power.

Test me in this, put me to the test, let’s put on a demonstration of my power!

Now is the time of momentous momentum.

A time of substitution, a new for old replacement, an exchange of your loss for my gain.

Let all that I am be consumed with all you are, oh the glory of your presence what more could I ask for?

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
