Pace it out
The Red Scarf
I’m rolling it out. It unfurls before you.
It is more than the red carpet. It is like silk. It is made of that which matters most.
I’m spreading it out. It fills the temple.
It is a new robe. It is your train that fills the temple.
It crackles all around. Cracked up. It is all cracked up. It cracks you up. Lift it up. Reach down to it. Reach you had under it. Lift it up. Examine it. Feel it, touch it. Hold it.
For it is not a trifle. It is precious. Like toffee. Sweet to the taste. Sticky to the touch. It is like honey. Flowing honey. That which has set.
Let it rain. Just let it rain. You see it now. The indoor rain. It pools now at your feet. You see it swirl around. Streams at your feet. Streams at your feet. Flow all around. It pours into the fissures, the cracks, the broken places. The fragments.
Pace not like a guard that protects. Pace as one who possesses. One who advances. Ever broader circles. Ever wider paths. A cut through and set right.
Mark out your territory. With joy mark it. Pace it out. Step upon step. Rise higher and higher. Step it up. Take possession of that which elevates, the elevator. I’m taking you up. “Going up”.
Broken bonds. The bondage is broken. The walk in the fire, breaks the bonds. Beyond the boundary. Your place is beyond the boundary.
