Overgrown

Speak these words over yourself.

I have outgrown what contained me.

For I have broken open that which contains you. The shell that once protected you now lies cracked under my feet. And now you flow over that which contained you.

Now what lay dormant within now flows without. Without containment. Without confinement.

For before you ask “is it safe to come out” you find yourself out in the open. You ponder how to explain yourself, yet I have placed you here without explanation. For what makes for everyone else, makes no sense to you.

For here you have found yourself back in Egypt. A once familiar place. A once so easy place. A well supported place. A comfortable place. A place of such might and power. Yet a place you left so long ago with the intent never to return.

Yet I have taken you back to Galilee.

You feel me!

You get what I am saying to you!

For I am doing a new thing with an old thing.

For I am making all things new.

For the period of your confinement is over.

And the birth of the new has come.

It looks the same to you, yet you are so different. You were looking for your familiar chariot, and it too is gone.

You wonder how you will do this alone, and yet my glory goes with you, my glory holds your hand, my glory guides you before and behind, my glory shows you the way, my glory rests by your side.

Here is what I want you to do, don’t talk about what happened to you, talk about your destiny, for your destiny shall become your destination.

Speak as one whom I have called for a purpose.

Speak with my authority.

Yes my authority.

For I have given you my authority.

You shall be known as the one who speaks with authority.

As I have taken you back, now take yourself back, take yourself back to where it all started, to where it all ended.

Say unto yourself, speak these words to yourself, hear these words from my lips.

I was chosen for such a time as this. I am appointed to overthrow, to cast down, to pull up and to plant. Fear not what lies ahead. FOR IT SHALL BE GLORIOUS! Be not overcome for you shall overcome. Say that again. Be not overcome for you shall overcome. For who can defeat my deliverer? For the one who comes against shall find themselves over their head and resting at the bottom of the sea!

Prophesy this!

Unexpected growth. Unexpected exposure. Unexpected blooming. An unexpected symbol of growth.

For you have been asking “what shall become of us?”

Yet this is the right question “what becomes us, what is a suitable outcome for the one so loved?”

For when you pause and reflect on my goodness, all you will be able to say is “My goodness!”

For what shall come from the broken and contrite of heart?

A blossoming of goodness.

A revelation of my goodness.

An overflow of my goodness.

An outpouring of my goodness.

For it was always your destiny to break the containment lines, to overflow upon the edge.

For the one who contains my spirit shall never be contained.

For you can feel me now!

Yes Lord I see the walls of the prison shaking, the bars of confinement lying at my feet. For who can contain freedom!

Yes that’s it.

Feel freedom. Receive freedom. Burst forth in freedom, be exuberant in your freedom. Act like one who cannot be bound. Laugh at your opponent as you flex the muscles of freedom.

Shake off all embarrassment, for anyone who points their finger in scorn at you will be cut down, cut off and cast out. Even those who were once against you shall now be for you.

For I have turned the tide.

I have released you into your destiny, for your destination now comes into view.

Embrace that which you cannot grasp.

Wrap your arms around my glory, for it shall be glorious.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
