On Point

So what is your point?

What is it you wish to point out to me?

What is it you would like to enlighten me with?

By what logic will you prevail?

What is the basis of your contention?

On what basis will you be content?

Who is it you want to contend with?

What is the point of your argument?

Isaiah 1:18
Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool.

Your way of reasoning is so different from ours Lord, for I don’t see how any of this is reasonable. Your argument does not compare one with the other and bring forth a better choice, it states a future transformation where the present state will be transformed into a future state. For your contention without revelation makes no sense.

For my ways are not your ways.

My patterns are not your patterns.

My faithfulness is without question, my word stands and nothing can come against it. Yet I love to mix it up!

I’m struggling to see what part to play in your plan. For anyone can sell something for lower than market price. This is a proven method with a logical outcome. Others can convince of a higher value and over time make a sale. These are tried and tested methods that deliver a predictable outcome. Yet I am looking for something more. I am looking for your intervention, your revelation, to see that this loss was truly what you wanted, not just a pragmatic, functional, logical outcome of what makes sense to me. Out of my frustration I can easily lead myself into the ditch.

Philippians 2:3
Do nothing from factional motives [through contentiousness, strife, selfishness, or for unworthy ends] or prompted by conceit and empty arrogance. Instead, in the true spirit of humility (lowliness of mind) let each regard the others as better than and superior to himself [thinking more highly of one another than you do of yourselves].

I am not interested in an unworthy end. If you are not part of this new season, then I am not interested in entering into it.

Ask and keep on asking.

Knock and keep on knocking.

Seek and you will find.

John 16:24
Up to this time you have not asked a [single] thing in My Name [as presenting all that I AM]; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy (gladness, delight) may be full and complete.

If I was to ask as representing all that you are Lord, I am not sure what that would be?

Would you not ask for that which brings fullness to your joy, and completion to the work of your hands?

Well I had not fully considered that. For so long you have given me the vehicle of joy and asked me to go for a joy ride. So to give that up, seems to be giving up all joy. Yet to hold on to it, seems like holding on to a fiery torch in the midst of summer. Like putting on a heater in the middle of summer.

Yet the torch lights the path ahead, in all seasons.

”Every good thing comes from you, you have always made good on your promise.”

I hear you say to yourself “this season must come to an end”, yet I say unto you “and the desert will become the lush green pasture”.

At what point did the season change? At what point did the dry become wet? At what point did the seed germinate? At what point did the grass appear?

For much work has gone on behind the scenes, under the ground, in the dark, without attention, without observation. For you do not know what is coming until it sprouts forth before you.

Yet Lord you have shown me the fields of harvest, the crying babies in the nursery, the masses of followers looking to me for direction.

For in the natural the farmer sows in anticipation, in the hope of a harvest.

Yet Isaac sowed in the year of the famine and reaped 100 fold.

What is it you hear?

The sound of a giant harvester starting up.

What is it you see?

The dry desert ground containing the seed pods, awaiting the rain.

What is it you will say about this?

I will proclaim this is the year of the harvest! For the rain is coming to end the drought and bring forth the abundant harvest.

For I will magnify the words upon your lips, I will amplify the words you proclaim, I will broadcast them for all to hear and to believe.

So I must speak words of faith not failure, words of life not death, words of confident expectation not gloom and doom.

For your words will be transformative, shall bring forth a transformation.

For in the place of contention there shall be transformation.

Say unto this it shall become that. Expect transformation, proclaim transformation, receive that which is transformed.

For you are transformed from glory unto glory, your life is not static, is ever changing.

Proclaim change and receive change.

Declare that which is coming and watch it come to pass.

For I am not slack concerning my promise to you.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
