On Edge

It will all happen so fast your head will spin.

And here you find yourself.

In the place of the spin.

Round and around.

Circling your enemy.

Surrounding that which surrounds.

Drawing a circle around that which circles you.

Round and around.

Round and around.

Round and round we go.

Amos 9:13-15
"Yes indeed, it won't be long now." GOD's Decree.
"Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won't be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I'll make everything right again for my people Israel:
"They'll rebuild their ruined cities.
They'll plant vineyards and drink good wine.
They'll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables.
And I'll plant them, plant them on their own land.
They'll never again be uprooted from the land I've given them."
GOD, your God, says so.

Why not be merry on the go around?

Did I not say you would have this confused and bewildered look on your face?

For in the place of the seeding, there was a great storm.

From the seed storm you shall come.

Seeds embedded with force in your skin.

Hair dishevelled looking like you have been through hell and survived.

For what is there left to come against you, except yourself!

For how is it that you look upon yourself. For here you find yourself, circling yourself, drawing attention to yourself.

Is this not my design?

For each time the power I have placed within you rises.

For I have placed you upon the edge.

And here you ask yourself, why am I so “on edge”?

Why wrestle with yourself, just accept yourself, don’t except yourself, don’t exclude yourself, don’t take yourself out, rather let yourself in.

For my power rests upon you, flows within you, pours out from within. For there is no limit to my flow.

For when your enemy touched you, how did you respond?

I had to use all my self control not to get up and punch him out.

For you respond to no authority but mine.

You had to say, you wanted to say

“Who are you to tell me what I can do? Who are you to confine me when all I wanted to do was share my joy and excitement.”

Yet this was by design. For I have given you my seal of approval. My ring of power.

For it was me causing you to rise up. It was just me breaking off your shyness.

For I have given you the edge.

For you shall wear it on your finger.

For it glistens and is gold.

Alighting on the edge.

Radiating from the edge.

Like a beacon from the edge.

Shining brightly upon the edge.

For the purpose is to illuminate.

For its purpose is to illuminate.

For at first it shall draw attention to itself.

For all shall wonder from whence it’s power comes.

“Is it reflecting the light of the sun, as it shines so brightly?”, they shall ask.

Yet when it is submerged in the flow it shines greater still.

Powered from beneath, shining brightly from the darkness beneath, from the depths beneath, illuminating that which is upon the surface.

For it bubbles up from beneath. Over and over, more and more, for it bubbles up from within to those who are without.

For the light defines the edge.

Appearing at first to be two dimensional.

But in the place of illumination, the fullness of the dimension is revealed.

For the light defines the dimensions of the expansion.

For it bubbles up from beneath.

Expanding beyond the limits of fullness.

One after the other.

For it bubbles up before you.

Unexpected.

What I have for you is unexpected.

Was it not the year of the unexpected?

Unexpected loss. Unexpected gains. Unexpected movement. Unexpected delight. Unexpected joy. Unexpected laughter. Unexpected miracles. Unexpected healings. Unexpected timings. Unplanned celebrations. Unexpected kindness.

The presence of joy and laughter.

Did I not say.

Jeremiah 33:11
[There shall be heard again] the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voices of those who sing as they bring sacrifices of thanksgiving into the house of the Lord, Give praise and thanks to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good; for His mercy and kindness and steadfast love endure forever! For I will cause the captivity of the land to be reversed and return to be as it was at first, says the Lord.

Did you not hear the voice of gladness?

For it echoes within and without.

For once again I am doing a new thing. It is not what you expect, brand new, unlike anything before or since.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
