Off Limits

Off Limits

Off limits. Don’t touch. Keep your distance. Stand back. Keep your distance.Don’t touch. Stay away. Keep your hands to yourself. Back away. Restrain yourself. Hold yourself back. Maintain your distance.

Adjust your focus. Redirect your focus.

For these are the words you speak to yourself.

But these are the words I speak of you to your enemy.

Take your hands off the limit.

Remove your hands from that which limits you.

Take away, that which takes you away.

Be away from yourself.

Stand back from yourself.

Remove yourself.

Re move yourself.

Reposition yourself.

Hold a different position.

Give regard to your posture.

Be lifted up oh my soul.

Be lifted up.

For I lift you up.

Stand and walk upright.

Be up not down.

Be elevated not downcast.

Rise up.

Arise.

Get up.

Be up.

Behold.

Hold on to up.

Look up, not down.

Lift up your eyes.

Say to your eyes, be up.

Lift up your head.

Look to the top, not the bottom.

Say to yourself “off limits”, “beyond the limit”.

Think to yourself, “no limit”, “no limit defines me”.

Say to yourself, “abandon all restraint”, “throw off all restraint”.

Stand up, take a stand, stand out in the crowd. For it is I that calls you by name.

Come to the front, come to the fore, come to the forefront, be at the forefront.

Tell them like it is.

Speak all that I have commanded you to say.

For it is my words that you speak.

Break the veil of shyness.

Do not shy away from brokenness.

For I came to rend that which rests between us.

Torn asunder.

Ripped apart.

For nothing shall stand in my way.

For I will see your face, I will hear your voice.

I say to you come close.

Yes come closer.

Come closer still.

Be not separate from me.

Embrace that which you cannot.

Push beyond the limit.

Push beyond the membrane.

Break the membrane.

Come out from that which binds you.

Burst forth to freedom.

Come out into the open.

From the limited place to the open place.

From the jungle into the clearing.

Let me clear some things up for you.

You are the commander of my army.

What you say, goes.

Jeremiah 1:7-9 But the Lord said to me, Say not, I am only a youth; for you shall go to all to whom I shall send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Be not afraid of them [their faces], for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord. Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me, Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

For they shall jump to your attention.

No need to announce your presence, for they know when you arrive, they look out for your movement.

Be not confounded before their faces, lest I permit you to be overcome.

Say to your enemy come over, invite him on to your premises.

For he has no power over you.

For he has no power over you.

Lift up your sword and say “the sword of the Lord and of xxxx”

Break the jar of containment.

Break that which contains.

Break forth with a shout of triumph.

Blow the trumpet of triumph.

For I declare the words of victory from your lips.

I came to dry that which surrounds you.

For when you find yourself surrounded, it is really my ambush for your enemy.

For they shall say unto themselves, they shall shout to each other, they shall cry out to each other – “it is a trap”.

For when they come after you, it is I coming after them.

Make a display.

Seriously let’s make a display.

Let’s construct a display.

Let’s put together a booth, and invite them to come.

For they shall come.

For they shall come.

For they shall come to an end.

For their entry shall be their exit. Their start shall be their finish. Before they get started they shall find themselves at the end.

For it is I that imposes a limit on them.

For they shall wrestle against it, they shall press against it, but find the whole experience exhausting and without progress.

For the more they strike it, the move they shall strike themselves.

For I have declared unto them you are off limits.

Yet I have appointed you to act on my behalf.

Speak the commands that I have commanded you to say.

Give the orders, and it shall be so.

Don’t hold back, for you won’t be embarrassed.

For that which rises against you, shall be cast out.

Deuteronomy 33:25-29 Your castles and strongholds shall have bars of iron and bronze, and as your day, so shall your strength, your rest and security, be. There is none like God, O Jeshurun [Israel], Who rides through the heavens to your help and in His majestic glory through the skies. The eternal God is your refuge and dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He drove the enemy before you and thrust them out, saying, Destroy! And Israel dwells in safety, the fountain of Jacob alone in a land of grain and new wine; yes, His heavens drop dew. Happy are you, O Israel, and blessing is yours! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, the Shield of your help, the Sword that exalts you! Your enemies shall come fawning and cringing, and submit feigned obedience to you, and you shall march on their high places.

Expect submission, anticipate submission, for I have given you authority.

Take up your robe of authority.

Put on the garment of praise, instead of a spirit of heaviness.

For I am renewing your strength.

Say to your strength, be renewed.

Place the hand of your strength upon your beloved, and say “be strong, receive strength!”

Deuteronomy 31:6-8 Be strong, courageous, and firm; fear not nor be in terror before them, for it is the Lord your God Who goes with you; He will not fail you or forsake you. And Moses called to Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong, courageous, and firm, for you shall go with this people into the land which the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall cause them to possess it. It is the Lord Who goes before you; He will [march] with you; He will not fail you or let you go or forsake you; [let there be no cowardice or flinching, but] fear not, neither become broken [in spirit—depressed, dismayed, and unnerved with alarm].

For you feel it now don’t you. My strength rising within and without.

We feel you surround us…”

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
