My Bequest

A glimpse. Do you want to see a glimpse of what I have for you?

Drive down the driveway. See the elegant fence. Bounded by rose bushes. In a stately car. Like a head of state. A grand procession. A grand possession.

You know that which you prophesy? That which you describe to others?

For it shall be a mansion.

Like in the movies. You arrive and are dropped out out the front. On the paved path. On the manicured path. On the prepared path. Look up and see. Two stories. Two wings, made of the mason stone.

For this is the path I have prepared for you. Abundance. I am showing off my abundance.

For the status of man. The sign of attainment. The trappings of wealth. For you this shall be a new status. A new position. An unexpected blessing.

A gift from me to you. An inheritance for my beloved. For you are my chosen. I bequeath this to you, I’m giving this to you. For this is my legacy.

All will stop and wonder as to how it is that you possess so much, when you had so little. For me this is what overflow looks like. A reward, a prize, indeed my trophy.

For it shall look like you have won the lotto, but this is no coincidence, this was not a matter of chance. This is my gift. This is the only way it shall be described. For it cannot be explained away.

Self funded. God funded.

Isaiah 58:10-12 And if you pour out that with which you sustain your own life for the hungry and satisfy the need of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in darkness, and your obscurity and gloom become like the noonday. And you shall be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters fail not.
