Magnificently Bright

Amidst the intense darkness my light shines.

At first a crack opening in the place of darkness.

A glimpse of my glory.

As this door opens you shall see clearly, you shall see the great brightness, with the intensity of the sun blazing through the door as it opens.

At first you think it is too bright, brighter than the sun, yet I want you to know that your future is bright, so bright, so very bright, intensely bright, magnificently bright.

For this shall be like a new dawn.

This shall be a foreign experience for so many, yet you know what my glory is like.

For in the place of darkness, my glory shines like a raging fire, like fire bathed in fire, like fire with oiled poured onto it, for I like to play with fire!

You shall feel it before you see it, the heat of my glory comes, before my glory shows itself.

Yet what is it that you see?

Streams of living water all around, upon the rock, upon the floor, upon the dry ground, upon the pavement, upon the broken ground, upon the rocky ground, amidst the fire.

For this is the path of fire and water.

For my holy fire rages against the darkness, rails against oppression, burns most intensely in the enemies domain.

Yet my pure water flows upon the ground, bringing life and restoration to the weary, the lost, the forsaken.

For my flow brings peace in the place that rages, the place of darkness.

For darkness has no place in my presence.

For that which seeks to displace your light, shall be displaced, replaced, old for new replacement.

For I am lighting it up, for many this will be an eye opening experience.

For you walk into the place of darkness with your eyes closed, you receive darkness, you experience darkness without question.

Yet my light shines so brightly that you experience it even with your eyes shut. Indeed you waken from your stupor to the rising of the light, you must open your eyes to see and experience the light that shines.

For who has informed you, who has told you what you must accept?

Who has caused your eyes to be shut?

Who has caused you to hide your eyes from my glory?

Who told you what to expect?

Who caused you to look down?

Who caused you to look down upon yourself?

For is it not I that holds you up?

Is it not my hand that holds yours?

Fear not for your strength shall return, for my strength shall become your strength!

Say to him who stands in your way. “Look out, look out, look now for an escape route, plan to leave without warning, for your departure is imminent”

Say to the darkness “for my light shines in the darkness, and is not overcome by it”

For it shall be dazzling, an impact like those who were blind from birth, seeing the light for the first time.

For I shall open their eyes, I shall cause them to have a revelation, they will have an “ah hah” moment. They will come to their senses, they will experience my fullness. For my glory shines upon them.

I will cause them to have regard for that which they have disregarded.

For the discard, shall become the trump card, the ace up their sleeve.

They will come to understand and appreciate and realise the value of the hand that holds them.

In the darkness the storm rages, the hatches are broken, the flood waters rise, and yet I veil my approach in the storm. In a moment, in an instant, my glory appears.

For I have bestowed my glory upon you, you are a child of the light, whatever the storm, whatever the circumstance, my glory shines.

John 1:4-9 In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it. There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came to witness, that he might testify of the Light, that all men might believe in it adhere to it, trust it, and rely upon it through him. He was not the Light himself, but came that he might bear witness regarding the Light. There it was—the true Light was then coming into the world the genuine, perfect, steadfast Light that illumines every person.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
