Living in Denial

Denial

Living in denial.

Devil your request is denied. Your advance is denied, your attack is denied, your promise is denied, your plan is defeated, your proposition rejected, your argument ignored.

I refuse to live by circumstance, I choose to live by the word. I deny what I see, for I live by faith, I walk by faith not sight.

My God tells me to invest, I invest. He tells me to show up, even when I am exhausted and spent. I can barely walk, but he puts words in my mouth, that have impact, display wisdom, that penetrate hearts and minds.

I walk through despite the howling winds, and the raging sea. I deny their power to touch me. I am focussed on crossing over. Why? Because He told me to “go over to the other side.”

We hopped in the boat and ventured out in obedience. But now the storm rages against us, paddle as we might, we make no progress. My strength fails, my hope fades, but I refuse to accept, that we shall not cross over. For His word has ultimate power. At His word all that exists came into being. If we encounter opposition it is only to remind the enemy that he is defeated!

If we have a setback it is only an opportunity for God to display His power. He slowed down the Israelites exodus, and invited the enemy to come. He hardened Pharaohs heart, for me like we would say to a pathetically sized opponent “bring it on”. He lead the people to a place where they could not turn back (read the passage), and when surrounded told them to “stop crying out to me and move forward”. When there appeared to be no way forward, God shifted the natural boundary, creating a path for them to walk. All Moses needed to do was lift up the rod in his hand.

Exodus 14:13-16 Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest. The Lord said to Moses, Why do you cry to Me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward! Lift up your rod and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, and the Israelites shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

The rod supported him, as he walked, it was also used for defense and attack in the natural. Yet when used as instructed by God there was amazing results.

Dropped to the ground, outnumbered against the advancing snakes, but then transformed by God to overcome despite the odds.

Exodus 7:12 For they cast down every man his rod and they became serpents; but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.

They moved forward and crossed over. We will cross over….

Hi, I'm Seedcaster

This site is about elevating the word, lifting what God says higher than our circumstance -what we see with our own eyes, our perspectives of knowledge and understanding.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
