Light

Light

Let there be light.

Let there be brightness in the darkness.

Let there be warmth instead of the cold.

Let there be a lifting in the place of heaviness.

Light come.

Invite the light to come.

Switch on the light.

Be illuminated.

Receive the highlight.

Perceive the high light.

Receive the highs.

Be the light upon the heights.

For my light does not peer into the darkness, it breaks the darkness, it invades the darkness, it overpowers the darkness, it possesses all power over the darkness.

For my glory rises upon you.

The light rises over the darkness.

The light brings forth lightness.

The light provides the means to distinguish, to perceive, to possess, to receive the blessing.

The light illuminates the path.

The light opens up a way.

Held in the brightness of your light.

Walk in the light.

Abandon the darkness.

Walk with the light and the darkness must retreat.

For my lightness rests.

For my lightness rests upon you.

Isaiah 9:2-4 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great Light; those who dwelt in the land of intense darkness and the shadow of death, upon them has the Light shined. You [O Lord] have multiplied the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before You like the joy in harvest, as men rejoice when they divide the spoil [of battle]. For the yoke of burden, and the staff or rod for [goading] their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor, You have broken as in the day of [Gideon with] Midian.

For I have come to break the yoke of oppression.

Release freedom.

Say to the captive be free.

Say to the captive freedom is here.

Say to the captive I have a gift for you.

Say to the captive receive the gift of freedom.

Receive wholeness.

Receive a new binding.

For I shall bind up the broken-hearted.

Be wrapt with my binding.

Be wrapt in a new covering.

Allow me to bind up your wounds.

Here have a splash of oil.

Be drenched in my oil of joy.

Receive an outpouring of joy.

An abundance of joy.

For my cup overflows in the presence of the enemy.

For this is not the cup of lack.

My flow shall flow.

My joy shall flow.

From the place of abundance my joy flows.

For I am not slack concerning my promise to you.

We feel you pouring out your love.

And he bound up his wounds.

And he bound up his wounds.

Luke 10:33-34 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

For the lost shall be found.

For the lost shall be found.

For all that was lost shall be found.

For you shall overtake and recover all.

Don’t ask, shall I pursue?

For you shall overtake and recover all.

Walk in the light.

Be bathed in my light.

Switch the light on.

Psalms 18:28-32 For You cause my lamp to be lighted and to shine; the Lord my God illumines my darkness. For by You I can run through a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. As for God, His way is perfect! The word of the Lord is tested and tried; He is a shield to all those who take refuge and put their trust in Him. For who is God except the Lord? Or who is the Rock save our God, The God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect?

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
