Laid Out

I’m laying it all out for you.

I’m putting it all on the table.

New containers.

My arms are full.

I’m placing them down. I’m laying them down.

Each container, warm to the touch on the outside. On the inside preserves the temperature of the flow. Cold shall remain cold, hot shall remain hot.

A thermostatic container. Look it up.

Solid containment, ready to accept my flow, my flow.

First one at a time, then on mass, a flash flood, a wave flowing over the table, everything awash, and yet nothing broken, all preserved.

What is the temperature now Lord?

Elevated, a new mix.

Another perspective. I am laid out before you on the table. Ready for your caress, ready to be intimate, I am all yours!

You feel laid out, helpless, without defence, without power, yet here I am laid out before you.

Feel the power, feel my presence, feel the excitement, feel that which is beyond your imagination!

I feel laid out before you. Laid up, laid out, prostrate, hard up, hard pressed. Everything feels hard…. 2 Corinthians 4:7-9 However, we possess this precious treasure the divine Light of the Gospel in frail, human vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves. We are hedged in (pressed) on every side troubled and oppressed in every way, but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair; We are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted to stand alone; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed; Thank you for this precious treasure laid out before me. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is progressively decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being progressively renewed day after day. For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!, Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting. Thankyou for restored restoration, renewed renewal, refreshed refreshment. The gathered fragment, the restored wholeness. Renew my mind Lord, let your glory fall.

For I have paved the path for you, I have established your goings, I have steadied your steps. I have smoothed the path, I have removed the stone of stumbling. Look up and not down. You have no need to see where your foot treads.

Look forward, yes look forward to the horizon. This is a well trodden path, that you are first to step on. I’ve paced it out for you, I have gone before you. Take hold, take hold of my hand, for I am pulling you forward.

No rush, but feel the rush.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
