Its Awash

Its awash.

The impending flood. The bursting forth.

You wrestle with the handle, for you know not how to open it.

You feel the push. You feel the rush. You feel….

The push back. The push upon your back. The push at your back. The push behind. The struggle to hold your ground.

And yet it is I that is behind you. I have your back. I’ve got your covered.

I’m coming from behind. I stand behind you. I’m bursting forth. Without restraint. Without limit. I’m breaking at the seams.

You feel it, for I am within you. Just let me go. Just say this word “release, be released. I prophesy release”.

I’m bursting forth. See and experience the rush. For I have found the cracks, I have found the border, I have found the point of breaking. The breaking point.

Just let me go. For I am weeping through the cracks, I am pouring out. I am breaking at the edge. I am beyond the limit. I’m pushing the limit. I have broken the limit.

See the door burst open. Don’t fly off the handle. Just let go of the handle.

I’m taking it clean off. What is in the way, shall be no more.

In a moment your are through. Before you are “through” you are through.

Abandon the burden you carry. Strip it off and let’s go for a dip. A dip in the flow. Be lightened. Be without weight.

For you are dripping with it. You carry the flow. Go with the flow. Release the flow.

See what builds before you, see what I am assembling before you. For the flow shapes what it before it. It creates a path, it establishes a way. It cuts through and establishes restoration.

Isaiah 49:16-20 Behold, I have indelibly imprinted (tattooed a picture of) you on the palm of each of My hands; O Zion your walls are continually before Me. Your children and your builders make haste; your destroyers and those who laid you waste go forth from you. Lift up your eyes round about and see the returning exiles, ready to rebuild Jerusalem; all these gather together and come to you. As I live, says the Lord, you Zion shall surely clothe yourself with them all as with an ornament and bind them on you as a bride does. For your waste and desolate places and your land once the scene of destruction surely now in coming years will be too narrow to accommodate the population, and those who once swallowed you up will be far away. The children of your bereavement born during your captivity shall yet say in your ears, The place is too narrow for me; make room for me, that I may live.

For I have broken that which drains. Between the above and what is beneath my flow drips. The drain is gone. That which drains is gone. Don’t run off, for you shall experience my run off. I’m flowing down, I’m coming down. I’m coming for a visit.

What was dry, what was broken, what was stripped, what was robbed, is now established. For the flow brings peace, establishes unity, builds community.

Be surprised, for my flow does not erode, it builds up, it does not take away, it establishes. In a moment you shall see the desolate places filled. The dull, the pale, those without colour, saturated, vibrant.

Ezekiel 36:33-38 Thus says the Lord God: In the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities I will also cause Israel’s cities to be inhabited, and the waste places shall be rebuilt. And the desolate land shall be tilled, that which had lain desolate in the sight of all who passed by. And they shall say, This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden, and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are fortified and inhabited. Then the nations that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord have rebuilt the ruined places and replanted that which was desolate. I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it. Thus says the Lord God: For this also I will let the house of Israel inquire of Me to do it for them; I will increase their men like a flock. Like the flock of holy things for sacrifice, like the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn appointed feasts, so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men; and they shall know, understand, and realize that I am the Lord the Sovereign Ruler, Who calls forth loyalty and obedient service.

Let’s make music together.

For my hand is upon the flow. You see my fingers tapping on the stream, like fingers on a keyboard. At each movement a melody resounds across the land. A each peak a crescendo, a wave of change, a ripple, a wash, a clearing, a cleansing.

The anomaly, the exception, the interruption, the standout, the bump in the road, the disruption to the the established pattern. The course changer, the resistor, the block in the way, the unplanned event, the disruptor.

1 Peter 2:6-9 For thus it stands in Scripture: Behold, I am laying in Zion a chosen (honored), precious chief Cornerstone, and he who believes in Him who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him shall never be disappointed or put to shame. To you then who believe (who adhere to, trust in, and rely on Him) is the preciousness; but for those who disbelieve it is true, The very Stone which the builders rejected has become the main Cornerstone, And, A Stone that will cause stumbling and a Rock that will give men offense; they stumble because they disobey and disbelieve God’s Word, as those who reject Him were destined (appointed) to do. But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, God’s own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Elevated Purpose

I am a man of passion, of purpose, but fundamentally one who holds on to God with every fiber of my being. I learnt some years ago that it is one thing to say that I “trust” God,  or that I “have faith”, but it is a whole other level to obediently put that word, that faith into action.
